I guess that can happen when you release a movie a second time just to make a little bit more cash. But Disney's all about making money nowadays
Bugle Boy of Company B
Avatar was also re-released.

Congrats to the filmmakers, but the photo of Brie "man-hater" Laron was a bad choice for this article as her character had very little to do with the success of this film.

How is she a man hater? Other than calling out Hollywood types who behave badly I've never seen anyone substantiate that claim that was just incel-type misogyny
Bugle Boy of Company B
Read a bit online.

That's the thing, I have read a bit online. While I might not agree with everything she says, she's not a man hater. The only folks I can find who think that are bottom rung types who have a grudge against all women in general and make frothing at the mouth youtube videos for ad revenue.

Amazing how some men are terrified of strong women.
Please continue to take my money, Marvel and offend the broflakes.
Bugle Boy of Company B
I suppose some are. To me, she's more annoying than anything.

Any sci-fi slop with no real plot but lots of CG can break a record nowadays.

I thought Brie Larson was great as Captain Marvel. The American male/right just cope with the gender swap.
I really liked her understated humor and how she sent the role up, in comparison to, say Steve Rogers as Captain America.
This whole "man hating" meme goes back to one Jack Posobiec, a former U.S. Navy intelligence officer who writes for an obscure "One America News", a right-wing, pro-Trump, pay television news channel that's more Fox News than Fox News is, that promotes the usual right wing falsehoods and conspiracy theories.
It's probably just a PR thing for them.
He claims Hollywood is overwhelmingly left-wing and is inserting divisive "Social Justice Warrior" polemic into movies and TV shows ... which means, he like his heroes male and white.
What Brie actually said that upset them was
Is that really "hating"?
Why is anyone dissenting against their views always represented as "hating".
It was all about comment in a women's magazing - to a black female journalist - based on the fact that most movie reviewers in the US are white men.
Brie has never said she hates men, she has said she want more representation of minorities and women in the film industry.
That to some white men in the US is threatening.

Larsen isjust another empty Hollywood hypocrite hitching her wagon to a trendy “cause”.
you may have noticed, its practically a given nowadays.

You see, this seems more in line with your reasoning as to why she's a "man-hater", because she annoys you.
Which of course doesn't
mean she hates men at all. All she did was advocate for diversity when it comes
to film critic reviews and not clap for Casey Affleck because of the sexual
assault allegations against him. Which she has been an outspoken advocate for
victims of sexual assault so it's nothing new.
All I see online is
man-children complaining about the "SJWs" and that she hates men and
"looked too stoic/mean" in her role as Captain Marvel. Nothing wrong
with criticizing her acting role as Captain Marvel (I enjoyed the movie, but
like all Marvel stuff it was nothing special) but it's kind of silly to say she
hates men just because she annoys right-winged, "anti-SJW" memelords
on the internet.

Cite your sources. Don't ask other people to make your argument for you.

@StevieJ
Dont' you mean, "unhinged anti-SJW memelords on the internet".
They are going to blow their fuses at the idea of an attractive Democrat supporting, pro- animal rights, feminist Jewess (Natalie Portman), playing Mighty Thor alongside a Black LGBT Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) in the next Thor movie.
No more blue eyed, blond haired white men dominating the stories lines.
(Having said which, I have no criticism of Chris Hemsworth's sending up of the genre).
