Considering this is an article about someone’s death, you would expect more care would have been taken in how it was reported. For example, Lisa Banes was an actress, not an actor. Also, Ms. Banes was in a relationship with Kathryn Kranhold, but they were not married.

Rest In Peace, Lisa Banes.

Great actress, wonderful person and beloved wife. Condolences to her wife, family and friends.

Recently, on The Orville StarTrek:Deep Space Nine fans know her as Dr, Renhold.

A senseless ‘hit & run’ by an unconscientious rider. Let’s hope the perpetrator is identified, found and that justice is served to honor her.

Actor or actress can both be used and be grammatically correct. Actress has become a more informal term, so we will likely not see it printed in relation to someone in an article like this.

Secondly, same sex marriages are legal in California, where the couple were based, and it has been reported they had been married for roughly four years.

Considering this is an article about someone’s death you would expect it to be about that and not a poor attempt to bring gender issues and petty semantics into it.

Those who screech most about fake news and biased media are usually the ones with an agenda.
