Same boring sound from her debut. Nothing new.

If you prefer just voice, then it's for you, otherwise there is no music.

Maybe, but like Madonna she’s a great marketer without question.

Maybe if she'd quit singing long boring love bluesy ballads for 90% of her songs, she'd be able to make "a comeback".

What 'comeback' is that then @Speed? - Downloads/Streams and pre-orders are at fantastic levels for her right now. I couldn't give a faff who likes her or not but she will probably end up with the biggest album this year despite the late in the year release.

She's a good singer (I just don't want to listen to her speak), but the songwriting is a let-down and always the same - orchestra and drama, but nothing memorable. There was only one of her songs which I liked, and it wasn't even released as a single.

Yet another one who when she’s gone no one will remember or revisit her exceedingly boring music. Will be quickly forgotten. A footnote in the “charts” history.

She's been around and sold an enormous amount of music since 2009 now. I don't think she'll be forgotten that quickly. Remember she is not 'manafactured' like so many 'acts' these days. Try showing a little humility on at least one subject Helix, instead of just being anti mainstream I suspect for the sake of it.

Im not anti-mainstream at all. I have huge respect for ABBA and their music, for example.

I just don’t think Adele is doing anything interesting or of lasting quality musically. I see her as one of those acts that are “successful” in their time but are justifiably forgotten as time moves on.

Her most recent album certainly was! And enough was sold so quickly that is was already the biggest album of the following year, hands down. This one, '30' may well wind up the same way.

For many acts nowadays, a 6 year gap isn't so uncommon. So is this a 'comeback'?

She is a good singer, musician and writer - it's the production I have a quibble with. Yeah, too many piano gunk and she needs better producerss to work with. That Max Martin makes everything generic, his work stinks. But when Adele shines, she shines like a supernova.
