Hollywood lack of originality strikes again.

I find De Palma's version to be over the top, excessive and bloated. Perhaps that's the point?

All production in Hollywood is currently shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic.

It is true, sometimes good things come from bad times.

De Palma's style is over the top, and I think brilliant. Many similarities to Hitchcock in terms of sensibilities. Not crazy about another remake, but the Coens do some good stuff, and the rags to riches to self-destruction story is a classic trope.

1932, a classic... 1983, another classic... i am a big fan of Scarface with Pacino, but that doesn,t stop me from being excited about this... Luca Guadagnino is one of those directors, nowadays, just like Denis Villeneuve, Christopher Nolan and others, that just doesn,t know how to make a bad movie... so, to all the pessimists, relax, this has the potential ...

Hope they expand the subplots that the corrupt cops and banks were the real enabling villains. "Say hello to the bad guy"

Not the first time it’s been said.

“ Say allo to my little friend, again!

A movie about a cocain smuggler in 1980s Miami, if it’s not excessive and over the top....

Aye, they do. Love their take on True Grit.

Bring me GTA Vice City.

“I told him what you told me to tell him I told him….I was in sanitation…they didn’t go for it. ‘I told you to tell him, you was in a sanitarium! Not sanitation…sanitarium, yeah.”.

Still a great amongst older and younger generations.

Rags to riches story and a few of the deadly sins included. Wall street to me is similar.

“Me, I want what’s coming to me. The world, chico, and everything in it”.

The first is a good move, the second is a class movie, the third, lets see.

Stay well, and keep well.
