"South Park" creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone have signed a massive deal to make 14 movies of their enduring satirical cartoon for streaming service Paramount+, as Hollywood's frenzied scramble for online content accelerates.

A couple of former Eikaiwa teachers made good.

Some of the best social satire out there. now watching season 19, and I cant get enough.

You do know that they're Canucks,not Americans,right?

“ Congratulations !!” to Matt & Trey, two truly-talented creators who NEVER strayed from their continual satire of society’s ‘sacred cows’ !!

They are “equal opportunity offenders” while remaining non-conformist defenders of “free thinking”, creativity and “free speech”.

They rightfully challenge blind conformity, false allegiances, censorship and oppression to it’s face,

EVERYTHING Disney and their CHINA puppet masters deplore and are trying to suppress.

Never change, Matt & Trey. - “Never Woke, Never Broke!” -

By your logic(?) then, your TOKYO OLYMPICS was a major LOSER !! - Streaming services has flourished while the Tokyo Olympics has only garnered an average 11million viewers each day, a 2.9% following of the prospective market demographic: 18-49 year olds.

South Park: Respect. It's the most intelligent and funniest animated series out there. Period. The Simpsons, sure, funny at times and mildly entertaining but pales in comparison. Just look at the way south park lampooned Trump. Hilarious. They bring up every current cultural, social, and political events and don't adhere to PC influences. Good for them!

@Gaijinland

Agreed, South Park makes the Simpsons look a bit dull… but how about “Family Guy”?

A bit less topically relevant, maybe, but devastatingly funny at times….

Disagree with this and other posts on The Family Guy and Simpsons. Rick and Morty has exceeded them all.

I've been pretty disappointed with the new season of Rick and Morty though - I think the first 2-3 seasons were much better. Simpsons was amazing for the first 10~ years, but hasn't been watchable for the last 20 or so seasons. South Park is still entertaining.

Hopefully they can make more ‘other’ movies like ‘Team America’ or ‘BASEketball’ these guys have more to offer than only South Park..

Never heard of them.

compared to whats available on J TV its not really difficult to get something better

Yellow Simpsons, alright! But these garbage are as dumb as they are. The creators should be punished for teaching & teasing (both) the kids inappropriate stuff. I'd put them behind the bars for 40 years or so.

There are good moments but nowadays i like Rick and Morty more.

I do find family guy funny. But the humor in family guy is so irrelevant and absurd. South Park on the other hand tackles current day issues head on in a funny way. True satire.

@reckless

You can definitely watch south park on Netflix in Japan. I'm not sure about the other shows.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Agree. Is it possible to watch these in Japan?

Absofreakinglutely, yes!!! You don't even need Netflix. Every single episode (minus three, Super Friends and the two with Mohamed in a bear costume) are available for free streaming at their official website.

South Park is comedic genius.

Those who don't or can't understand the show are likely incapable of critical thought and have not the informational awareness and unfortunately for them, lack the ability to comprehend the humor, subtleties, and astute up to date irony the show consistently produces.

People need more tegridy, man!
