Elon Musk who routinely fires people for opinions he doesn't like.
Elon Musk who is a backer of the fiction of corporate "free speech" eroding democracy and allowing oligarchs to capture the machinery of supposed democratic processes.

Elon Musk and the GOP who who push for At Will employment and Orwellian "right to work " laws where employees can be terminated for any reason .
If ever there was an agenda driven frivolous lawsuit.

Great news! I hope she gets 10 times what she should have gotten in the Mandalorian episodes.

I hate Disney so I'll back her and Racer X.

She's not doing her career any good.

Which employees? You seem to know about it, give us some names.

Musk is another conservative hypocrite! One of the reasons for his move to Texas is it’s “right to work” laws. The others being taxes and child support.
In the words of conservatives, "She should just do her job and stick to acting."
Oh wait, she doesn't act anymore in major films! How did her last movie from that conservative production do?

"Nazi soldiers could easily round up thousands of Jews because the government first made their own neighbors hate them simply for being Jews," the post said.
"How is that any different from hating someone for their political views?" it concluded, with a graphic photo of a Jewish woman being beaten in Nazi Germany.
In what way is Gina Carano's comment, above, antisemitic? She's not denying that Nazi soldiers rounded up Jews, or that Hitler's regime made people hate Jews. Maybe her statement that the discomfort of US conservatives in liberal media is much the same as Nazi persecution of Jews is an exaggeration, but that doesn't mean she's antisemitic.
People ought to learn to use words more precisely, and responsibly. One of the words we ought to use more responsibly is "antisemitic."
I for one hope Gina gets all the money she's suing Disney for.

who had a major role in the wildly popular Disney+ series "The Mandalorian" until 2021, filed a lawsuit in California on Tuesday claiming wrongful termination.
What they really said when they terminate her role?

Actors when employed in a tv series, are basically representatives of those they work for, for the duration of their active employment. Saying or doing anything that could potentially embarrass their employers, or put their employers in a difficult position because of things they say or do in the public eye, can end up badly for the actor. This is what happened to Gina Carano.
Gina has a right to voice her opinions, and employers have the right to end associations with those who say things they do not agree with, and find embarrassing to the point they worry about negative response from other companies they deal with and importantly the viewing public.
In this day and age, to protect their employment, actors need to stay firmly in the middle of all things at least until their contracts end. This protects both themselves, their jobs and their employers. Doing otherwise is a risk. Gina took a risk and in the end it didnt work out well. She should have learned from this experience, but instead seems to be doubling down.
The sacking was not over one thing but a number of posts about different things that were unacceptable to her employers.
When employers lose the right to protect their own image from harm due to actions of employees, then things will indeed have become untenable.

She wasn't terminated though, wrongfully or otherwise... She signed an employment contract for a set number of episodes. After her contract expired, Disney decided not to renew it.

She may not be antisemitic, but her statement is. How so? Because it assumes that non-Jewish persecution is relatable to Jewish persecution. You have to understand that, as the Jewish Bible says, the Jewish people are an exceptional people. So if you were to point out that 20 million people were killed by the Bolsheviks and wonder why there are not movies made on the subject every year like the Holocaust, that would be antisemitic. Therefore, instead of trying to figure out what is or isn’t antisemitism, just trust Jewish people when they tell you it is. Case in point: criticism of the disproportionate killings of Palestinians in Gaza = antisemitism.
And what Gina wrote was,
Her point was that Nazi action was preceded by a general persecution by the population and so the persecution of conservatives could become much more severe. So she didn’t actually make “inflammatory social media posts about the Holocaust” as the article maintains, but one about the persecution that preceded the round-up of Jews.

A far better example is Rachel Zegler who showed literal hatred toward the very character she was supposed portray. I guarantee that she thought it would be alright to voice such hatred because it was commonly held behind the scenes. Her only mistake was voicing that hatred openly. Opps.

Which he can especially if he's sees they will be a political mouthpiece liability.
That is what the beauty of Capitalism is, if he doesn't, someone else will.
Ok, so you are saying for example, if I have someone that is black or fat and white and if they don't perform well according to my rules, guidelines, and business practices, I have to keep them?? Just to be politically correct? Kinda fascist wouldn't you say...
Naw, she got fired for having an opinion, there right, but when the more radical left say something, not a word, now if a conservative says something of importance just in the same way the left does they would bury them and try and destroy their lives.

This will amount to nothing other than to virtue signal to the conservative/republican masses.
She screwed herself, they were talking about doing spinoffs and what not for her character and she blew it. Sacrificing her career to "own the woke mob" on social media is a very big brain move.

Oh, you represent Carano?
By having an opinion????
No, Disney blew it, especially when they got a wake-up call that they can't stifle her First Amendment rights, but they are about to find out.
I think so and good on her.

The only agenda comes from Disney who allowed their own political views to inform their decisions in whom to fire as is evident from their completely ignoring the political comment of Pedro Pascal which likened American immigration detention centers holding illegal immigrants to German internment camps holding Jews. So Cararo's lawsuit is not frivolous in the least.
And for those who may not know, The Critical Drinker provides a nice overview of the situation here https://youtu.be/VIti9t6wyo0 .

Disney over reach is real and they destroy people. Let look at UFC ex world champion. Rips into a journalist for asking his view on Gays. Then lost the fight on decision where many expert say he won.

Freedom of speech does not mean free from consequence. And while it's less than ideal, on some level the employer is tied at the hip to the views of their employees even if they are expressing them personally.
If the employer could actually detach themselves from the personally expressed views it wouldn't be and issue but they can't. Again perhaps a problem of liberals own making.
As far as extreme / inappropriate remarks or comparison, if that ain't it I don't know what is.

Elon Egghead Muskrat who restored the X accounts of Traitor Don and the Jew-bashing Ye. And he himself has made some antisemitic remarks on his own as well as allowed neo-Nazi postings on X.
With 'friends' and 'allies' like that scumbag, who needs enemies? Muskrat is talking about 'frivolous lawsuits' yet he backs up the King of Frivolous Lawsuits.

Her contract was finished, they just didnt renew it. If she was wrongfully fired, she would have sued what 3-4 years ago. No fan of Disney but this is kinda dumb.
