Seems the only way for Japanese to be funny abroad is being debu and (almost) naked.

Obviously "Tony" is harmless, concerning, is what state of mind do I have to be in to find him amusing.

One day I will need to call the crazy coach, laughing hysterically manically as "tony" comes into view.

Really, really funny? Much ado about nothing...

Yasumura is cheap comedy, but at least he is not Hollywood Zakoshisyoh

Like the vast majority of modern Japanese comedians this guy has 1 joke. It was funny for a bit about 5-10 years ago. I guess enough people forgot about it for it to be kind of funny again now.

Just reminds me that Ken Shimura really was something special. His style of comedy wasnt so different from the like of Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse. He was a genuinely funny bloke. RIP

Yes, all of these one hit wonders are so lame.

Agree , he was more funny.

I find the whole performance not amusing and stupid.

I watched his comedy show on Youtube channel of God of talent. I watched repeatedly over and over again. He is really brilliant and original. Simon said Tony is most outstanding challenger in whole year. I am exactly proud of his as Japanese comedian.

It's very sad that comedy is essentially dead thanks to the perpetually offended "liberal" folk.

Remember when comedy films could actually be made?

At least his schtick (can we actually use Yiddish terms without offending someone?) is mildly amusing.

Where's Eddie Izzard these days?

Glad he has an audience.

Yasumura has been doing his trademark act for nearly a decade on TV shows and comedy houses around Japan.

10 years and an entire career out of one joke. That takes talent. Not comedic talent but certainly some sort of talent.

You arent wrong. I guess a fat naked guy making silly noises will always get some laughs.

Amen! The latter is so utterly UNfunny that it is unbearable to watch, and I know more than one Japanese who has cringed when the guys 'work' is seen outside of Japan (like on YouTube). The only reason I'd put Yasumura above such talentless hacks is that he is just having fun, and doesn't seem like he has created his schtick for the sole purpose of becoming famous for a heartbeat.

Still, treating it like it's the world's next big thing and Japanese here falling all over themselves to adopt the fad is a bit much.

I watched the YouTube clip. Vulgar and crass Japan meets crass and vulgar Britain. (And I'm British.)

This immoral man is a buffoon of the highest order. I have zero interest in vulgar and common people such as him.
