Just wanted to add to you people calling her a junkie etc. lucky you for having a loving family life. I’ve worked at shelters in Scotland and it’s always down to upbringing. Have some compassion for Pete’s sake!

From what I've studied Amy probably had BPD and people with this disorder often "self medicate" to fill the who. She was an amazing musician and may she rest in peace.

She was a druggie, plain and simple. Live by the sword, die by it.

Drugs are a big problem and anyone can be a victim, judging without knowing the lives of others is a narcissistic loser attitude.

'Just say No' is a joke too. That ain't enough. If we're to battle drugs and addiction, we must tackle what leads to it in the first place. And yes, Amy drank herself to death. It was poisoning by legal alcohol which some people can't handle but get addicted to every year. And anybody can become an alcoholic.

The UK has a huge drug problem, so hopefully this documentary brings that more to light.

Just like Whitney Houston is a poster girl for Why You Shouldn't Smoke Crack.

She made cool music and had a voice that came from the 30s or 40s, shame drug and alcohol took such a toll on her , but many of the best have been lost to the bad medicines.

She was a nice contrast to the music that was being made at her time.

In the 00s there nearly nothing but unlistenable stupid wretched yucky rubbish, garbage, trash. Amy was a clear beacon of potential and talent. But I saw her last show at Belgrade online and all that hard dope made her a total train wreck. It's a damn shame too, here was someone with promise in a very dismal decade and she was the best female Brit star in a long time too. And BTW, I don't take the dumb lip-synching Spice Girls as qualifying in that category. They ain't nothing but a moronic JOKE.

Some artists can only be artists and write or sing good song while high or out of this world. some of us people can appreciate that fact and some don't.

And the thing with addiction is that it doesn't happen all at once, it creeps up on you and you don't realize until you hit rock bottom and, hopefully, have a loving support system because you'll be non-functional and convulsing from withdrawal.

I hated her music. But she died too young. Had so much potential. Substance abuse usually goes hand in hand with crazy unstable relationships because because the user gravitates towards people who feed their addiction instead of forcing them to make a life change for the better

Yeah. It's sad. Another young life of creativity lost to alcohol.

One of my sons best friends told me she went to school with Amy, we all thought it was BS until she showed us the pictures, she said Any was a colourful character at school, and told us how they were best friends, its sad to know that shes been taken by drugs and booze, and it was 10 years ago, jees where does time go?

"In a hundred years' time, in 200 years' time, kids are still going to be falling in love with Amy Winehouse."

Oh, come on now. That's just not going to happen.
