3 Jacksons to perform tribute concert for children of March 11 disaster

Three original members of the Jackson 5 will perform at two charity concerts in Japan in December. The Jacksons have not visited Japan as a group since 1973.

The group will perform at the Michael Jackson Tribute Live, in honor of their brother, the famed Jackson 5 member and solo artist who died from apparent medicinal drug complications in 2009.

Jackie, 60, Tito, 58, and Marlon Jackson, 54, will take to the stage at the National Yoyogi Stadium on Dec 13 and 14.

Joining the Jacksons will be AI, singing her tribute song "Letter In the Sky feat. The Jacksons," Judith Hill, Kento Mori and Travis Payne.

A portion of the proceeds from the concerts will go toward supporting children who lost their homes or families in the March 11 disaster. Tito visited Japan after the disaster.

Tickets go on sale Wednesday.

Wonderful! They are carrying a legacy of Michael Jackson who loved children.

His goodness in heart was so misunderstood and people took an advantage of him. .

globalwatcher - Michael Jackson was a pedophile. How many men in their 40's would you allow your children to share a bed with? Nothing to "misunderstand" about that. The only people taken advantage of were the children he surely assaulted when their parents allowed him to pay them off with hush money.

As for the brothers' charity work, thats great but the pessimist in me says that they're also using it to drum up some interest in a tour of Japan later on.

In my country there's a saying that translated would be something like this:

"when you offer too much to the saint, he'll be suspicious.

Still, to this children, little it's always better then nothing, although money can't bring somethings back.

He died from a drug overdose.

He died from a drug overdose.

Actually, they say it wasn't an overdose so much as it was the drug interactions that did him in. He had three or four drugs flowing through his veins when he died. So "drug complications" would probably be more accurate than "drug overdose". I suppose you could argue that at least ONE of the drugs was administered too much because he died, but semantics can be argued ad infinitum.
