Meh. More bread and circuses. The sheer brass neck of these people at a time when working folks are suffering, out of work etc is awful. and most of them profess to be for the poor and downtrodden. I guess for the "bread" part they would all be for UBI.

That blue dress that Amanda is waring is stunning. most of the other outfits are pretty awful.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Even the guys get to wear their dresses.

3 ( +6 / -3 )

Its disgusting.

Naomi Osaka looks ‘fresh and well-rested’, even though she apparently, ‘just flew in”.

-5 ( +3 / -8 )

And ‘sporting well’, at least three of the presumedly Olympic Rings?? -

So, some would still say Osaka’s been “a good sport” … until she threw racket at the U.S. Open.

From then on, sympathies been lost to most and the ‘kid gloves’ are off.

-3 ( +3 / -6 )

The Olympics weren’t a total loss for Naomi. - She has one small, ‘gold medal’,

… on the front zipper of her Met Gala dress.

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

Take it easy, folks! THEY know, we know it. - It’s “free advertising” for these narcissists, er “celebs”.

The whole point of the Met Gala and the outrageous fashions are to raise money and get people talking about who was there

… and who wasn’t.

What does all her cultures mean?

She might hold a Japanese passport as it was convenient to be able to make a spot on a team although undeserving, but her culture is pure American.

Looks pretty trashy to me. Not as bad as the Video Music awards, but super-trashy.

Eilish, the belle of the ball, wore Oscar de la Renta. She told Vogue: "It was time for this. I feel like I've grown so much over the last few years."

Oh dear, Billie. This isnt “growing”, its becoming what you once pretended to despise.

U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez showed up in an Brother Vellies by Aurora James gown of white with a message splashed in red across the back: "Tax the Rich."

A nice display of AOC’s utter contempt for the poor, as she rubs it in their faces while strutting in her $30,000 gown.

Her purse was a black leather dachshund.

There were hair statements as well.

”Statements”. Yes indeed.

The gala raises hundreds of thousands of dollars for the museum.

Wasn't David Bowie on the board there for a while? I know he and Iman were regulars at this event. It's a magnificent place, hope I can visit again someday.

Iman is in the 3rd photo @alfienoakes 3:40pm and she looks ‘awesome’. Bowie is watching from somewhere, out there and smiling. None of ‘these’ would be who they are if it weren’t for His influences.

the "Im a guy wearing a dress" thing is all played out by now.

Great event for a great cause. Would love to have the chance to visit the Met one day!

Naomi looks fabulous! As do Rihanna, Amanda Gorman and Billie Eilish. All power to them!

Not a mask to be seen.

3 ( +6 / -3 )

They lock down working people and mask them and their children. Then laugh at them behind their backs.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

Flaunting their wealth and elite status. No masks for them. While pretending they are on the side of the people. Literal champagne socialists.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

I agree with all 3 of you

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Where are the Asians?

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

Zoom in on the photos when lots of people in the background and about 80% masked up

According to one media outlet, this was 'The Frocky Horror Show!'

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Zoom in on the photos when lots of people in the background and about 80% masked up

The masked ones are their servants.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

The elites party and pretend to be fighting for social causes that give them power.

Tax the Rich is code for Let them Eat Cake and Wear Masks.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

The whole point is to be outrageous and raise money for the museum

Like doing something outrageous like running for 24 hours to raise money for charity
