Naomi is 11 years too old, if we're going with Disney's age of 16 for jasmine (the original character wouldve been closer to 12). In the original, Aladdin probably would've been in his 20s though.

Also, the Disney's genie was blue and could do voice impressions (RIP Robin Williams).

Oh great, another SJW PC spin on Disney classics.. They destroyed Beauty and the Beast with certain themes..

Realize the "first" Disney's Beauty and the Beast is already different from the original Beauty and the Beast, just as Disney's Aladdin is already different from the original 1,001 Arabian Nights. Heck, some would say Disney's first Beauty and the Beast already destroyed certain themes from the original, so they already have more beef than you
In the end, Disney's Beauty and the Beast is whatever Disney defines their Beauty and the Beast
Disney have been remaking and redefining its own movies all the time (Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Sleeping Beauty / Maleficent, Jungle Book, Peter Pan, 101 Dalmatians, Mary Poppins, etc.) Ya will notice there's always changes reflected by the times. And there will be these changes in the new Aladdin too

Ok but why does a lot of recent films have some political agenda and hidden message to it.. just be story focussed without injecting PC nonsense into it..

Recent? It's being done all the time since times change
"Jasmine" was a vain kid princess to be married off in the original Aladdin, but can't have that type for a modern heroine. Gaston didn't even exist in the original Beauty and the Beast - that antagonist was a Disney creation. The original Little Mermaid didn't win the prince's heart, but can't have that now when love is supposed to conquer all. Shall we even get started on Mulan or Pocahontas?
These are all "PC changes" - or what's considered PC at that time. And what's considered PC at that time may no longer be PC at this time, and what's PC at this time may not be in the future. Times change; we no longer marry off vain kid princesses (that was PC even at the turn of the 20th Century, but not now)

It is sad in a way, story telling should just be on the story, without little hints here and there of politics or hidden agendas in reality, that is what seperates fantasy from reality.. the two is merging to much with Hollywood..

I think one trope is the "vegetarian viking" where behaviour or habit is completely anachronistic.

Nice. :) :)

Disney's previous Aladdin had a big blue guy who lived in a lamp and does stand up. The titular character travels around on a magic carpet. And talks to animals.
Any changes will hardly make the tale any less believable than it already is. The most surprising move is director Guy Ritchie helming it.
