It is a good thing the jury and not a judge decided, because if the outcome was typical you know how that would have gone . . . . . I believe Depp.

The beginning of the end for the 'believe all women' meetoo quite frankly sexist way of thinking. Women are equal to men and are equally violent, manipulative and capable of awful vindictive lies as shown in this case.

Depp is certainly no angel, but Heard was simply caught in lie after lie. And she craped on his bed after getting upset about him showing up late to her birthday party. She demonstrated herself to be radically unstable.

A huge set back for all the manipulative, violent, gold digging woman out there. I followed this case from the beginning, and it was clear to me from Day 1 who the guilty one was. The legal team (Chew, Vasquez) also did an amazing job catching Heard in her lies.

Heard is pretty much done. She'll be lucky if she can get decent B-movie parts going forward. She's just become too toxic.

Depp is also damaged, but this decision vindicated him in so many ways so he just might be able to partially (not entirely) salvage his career. Either way, both are mentally and physically damaged people and really need help.

The woman was the abuser in this case. Elements of the media seem to have a hard time dealing with that.

Heard already had a crappy rep. She is finished. She made the real domestic victims too scared to come forth now, gave them and the MeToo movement an ugly name. And domestic violence/sex abuse must be exposed and the culprits held accountable. As for Depp, he's got a stellar career and a good track record. He's no angel by any means but I think he'll manage to salvage his legacy OK. He is no Mel Gibson.

So in the end Depp is exonerated while Heard is shown to be lying. Depp ends up with $8,350,000

less his lawyers fees which would be in the millions itself. A relatively small amount considering he lost the Pirates gig worth millions more than his settlement. But his name has been largely cleared of the worst accusations. Neither will find it easy to get anything for a few years, but I would expect Depp to eventually get something he can shine in and return to a normal Hollywood living. Heard might get some B or C grade movies to make a living.

A thoroughly unpleasant affair that cost both more than they imagined, and showed the world things it would rather not have been privy to.

I hope so. Many male offenders have claimed that the MeToo/time's Up movement has made a witch hunt on men. Donald trump, a known ill-mannered sex offender said so himself but in his case with his demeanor - it only SHOWS his guilt.

Johnny Depp OTOH has shown coolness and resolve through all this and his past also reflects it too. he's no angel but he's no woman abuser either. That makes a HUGE difference here. Amanda makes the real victims of abuse look bad, she's utterly disgraceful. I'm glad Johnny won in this. And with his stellar past career, he'll be alright. It'll pick up steam again. Amanda is finished and she did it to herself, even before 2018.
