Absolutely agree Serrano.
Lindsay is one the best guitar artists there has ever been (Regardless of subjective taste values, there is simply no denying his talent.)
Fleetwood Mac have always been foolish, but if Lindsay was keen to tour, they have really screwed up this time.

What does ‘important’ music mean?
Serrano
There is no Fleetwood Mac without Lindsay Buckingham.

'Important' means making an impact, setting the stage for rock to come, having something to say, making a difference. FMac is pretty much an adult-contemporary band that passes for adventurous for the yuppie/soccer mom/suburban WASP family types who like their music predetermined and spoon-fed to them by the gods of corporate radio. Not very groundbreaking, innovative, interesting at all. Tipper Gore loves FMac, and she tried her damndest to censor and outlaw what she don't like.

Disagree. There was the Peter Green era where FM did just fine before LB came onboard. Well, when I say "fine", I mean the usual squabbles, flounces and religious cults.
For me, the band's last truly innovative album was Tusk. And that's quite some time ago. There was some perfectly good pop/soft-rock stuff in the 80s but nothing that impacted as much as their output in the 60s and 70s.
In my opinion, natch.

That's one FM album I liked. It's more adventurous and exciting than all their other stuff altogether.

Fleetwood Mac hasn't done anything important musically since their GH album in 1988. All they've done since then was give big tours playing 40 year old songs from a not very exciting of rock and charging $150+ a ticket. LB's solo work stands out on its own - he doesn't need FM. The Mac should've called it quits a long time ago. It's time to dissolve this money-grabbing band for good.
