Am in the the middle of this series now. It's well done!

If it lives up to the promise shown in season 2 of Daredevil, am all for it.
Jon Bernthal is great as Frank Castle. To think he played the increasingly annoying Shane in The Walking Dead!

It doesn't "explore" anything. Just another superhero moneyspinner.

Finished season one over the weekend. Excellent show, well written scripts, and well acted.

In other words, if I don't like something, it's garbage and everyone else is wrong. Nice attitude.
Punisher is great. My favorite superheroes are those without any actual superpower. Batman, Punisher, Daredevil, Iron Man.

Frank Castle is not a superhero. He's a traumatised, betrayed special ops vet. He is the darkest of the vigilantes and his moral justification for doing what he does makes the character fascinating.
You may well not agree with his raison d'etre but it makes for compelling viewing.
That said, I refused to watch the cinematic outings (the comic was the best for me) but DD season 2 made him an essential conflicted part of the Marvel output again.
Currently watching Luke Cage. Slow burner compared to DD, JJ and The Defenders but not bad.
Still debating on whether to commit myself to Iron Fist, though...

@Toasted Heretic - if you like whining, you'll love Iron Fist. There was so much build up followed by anti-climatic moments, I came away with blue balls after nearly every episode. Too bad!
The Punisher does not shy away from gore. It had more than one "Dayum!!! That's gunna hurt!" moment.
