Lots of Japanese parents want their children to meet their, when they provide them with no emotional support, expecting them them to assail, when they do not have the support, themselves

The amount of people assuming suicide is disturbing. It is pure speculation without clear evidence it must be ruled as an accident.

Being a celebrity, and well off, doesn't at all ensure happiness, and instead often leads to isolation and loneliness. It is a shame it got so bad that she committed suicide (in all likelihood), and I wish she had known there are people whom she could have talked to, and wish even more still there were MORE people hired to talk when there are no friends and families to turn to -- and not just one day a week at the phones or during business hours.

Only 3 days............. hopefully investigators got everything they need

I doubt that's high on her list of priorities at the moment really.
JT - thank you for including the link at the end of the article.

I just feel really horrible for that mother and father being expected to stand in front of a bunch of photographers literally carrying the remains of their dead child in their hands like that. They really should be left alone and allowed to process their grief in their own way outside the public eye like that.

Pure assumptions, and the Japanese police do not "share" scenes of locations where people died.

Yaburu,
A fall would have some pretty easy evidence though, loose railing, footprints showing a slip. There's not even a picture of the room or the balcony of said room. Also she called in sick to the show she was going to perform in that day.

She's 35 and voiced Anna when she was 10 years old? I didn't know the movie Frozen was 25 years old

A parent should never lose a child. Fly Sayaka Fly....Will miss you.

RIP Sayaka. I feel for the parents and can see the evident pain in the eyes.

A young lady dies, in what could be a tragic suicide, and you see the problem as not writing a letter?
How many people whose lives are taken in an instant, for whatever reason, have the foresight to write a letter?
Maybe she should have put all her affairs in order to in her final moments, right?

She seemed like a nice young lady. It’s a shame that she was so fragile and took her own life.

The only true words in this comment are "I guess" as otherwise it is all pure speculation.
Iron Lad
Really enjoyed her works.

Parents divorce must have a big impact on her. Then the challenge to be famous like her parents. All friends she has are fake friends she couldn't open up to. I guess the only person she finally feels comfortable with is Mitsu Murata, her ex husband. And unfortunately the marriage didn't work. Life must have been so devastated for her and she must have suffered in silence. RIP Sayaka.

RIP , hard to imagine what any parent would feel like losing a son or a daughter.
Michael Machida
She was talented for sure.

A fitting headline acknowledging this young woman and a reminder there are always those that a left behind grieving. This is a fitting public service message as well:
- “If you or someone you know is in Japan and having suicidal thoughts, click here for more info.” -

Is sad they lost their only child. If and i say if she really did end herself, she could have at least written a letter to her parents instead leaving them like this with so much unanswered.

RIP Sayaka

May you “Rest In Peace”, Sayaka Kanda. “Condolences” offered to her grieving parents, friends, fellow cast-members & fans around the world.
Many were very proud watching You singing live in front of the national audience and those Japanese living abroad during the 2014 Kohaku Uta Gassen. Many were looking forward to one day seeing you sing as live as Eliza Doolittle. - Rest in Peace. -

When you get to my age, all you think about is how to prolong life--so you can delay saying good-bye to everything and everyone that you love. You don't want the end to come even a day earlier.
Yubaru
Yeah she "fell" whether she did it of her own accord or otherwise, she most definitely DID fall. With no evidence, leastwise so far, to show anything that she committed suicide, it's pure conjecture to suggest it.
Cricky
She didn’t fall, that’s definitely off topic.
