I'm sorry if you're a Swiftie, but I've heard her albums, due to my kids unfortunately, and they just aren't all that good. It's just some very generic and unimaginative pop. Just average.

When I think of great albums, her albums don't come to mind at all. It doesn't put the Grammys in a good light either. This is pretty depressing.

There was an article on the BBC or CNN comparing her to.....Joni Mitchell. Aside from a personal relationships approach to songwriting that she and hundreds of other artists share with Mitchell, there is really nothing else that is comparable between the two. I have most of Mitchell's albums and they're like gold. More power to Swift for selling so much but that's about it.

How many "pop" artists write their own music and lyrics and play their own songs? I'll admit her vocals aren't the strongest out there but she's an absolutely fantastic lyricist and composer. You perhaps may want to give her pandemic albums, Evermore and Folklore a go. Her songwriting and composing skills really shine on these albums.

She's very successful albeit there isn't a lot of competition compared to other eras of music. On pure vocal ability she wouldn't make the top 30 greatest female singers of all time. I'm personally not a fan of her but she's done extremely well for herself and good on her. I still don't get why she is so big along with Ed Sheeran.

Good for her - although I must admit to not knowing a single song of Swifts.

What I do like about her is the fact she bizarrely manages to antagonize countless middle-aged white men. It is great comedy reading them raging at every Swift news on social media! Wastes of space all of them.

It's come down to the fact that writing one's own music is now considered 'special' or 'unique' when it was the standard. Get over yourself. It's nothing special or the sign of a great performer. It's the norm.

She's popular & smart, by staying away from Hollywood parasites trying to rip her off AND trying to get her to destroy her marketability by weighing in on Nov election.

There are a lot of very good women musicians out there. As far as TS music I don't care about it. It basically tells her stories through music but if you want to listen to some great musicians. I just found a great all Japanese female group full of saxophones and one of the best drummers in the world. If you want to hear some good music go listen to them the Jazz Avengers. All of these women are tops and very proficient on their instruments and will give any man a musical battle!!
