In the 16th century, everything was about Catholics versus Protestants.

Now it seems to be all about Blacks versus Whites.

Exactly. To even whisper such a scenario a year or two ago would see a scriptwriter blackballed for years.

The theatre has been the sole domain of MAGA white supremacists for decades.
