Beyonce was a very talented artist, singer songwriter. She has turned into an elitist brat that doesn't walk her talk. Turn the page.

No WAP?

Sorry folks, but I never really got in Bey. Even in Destiny's Child they had to rip off a Stevie Nicks riff and their music just wasn't that good. I was often told that if I can't say something nice, so here is something nice to say about Beyonce:

Nice gams, honey!

Now turn the page.

She married JAY-z for street cred. Her career was put on the back burner after that.

These awards are a farce, if you want to see the sinkhole that music has found itself in and what it’s considered good music these days, watch these “awards”

From Destiny's Child to one of the greatest artists of the age.

Music snobs may gripe, but she constantly delivers.

I'd like to see Sleaford Mods top that.

Beyonce doesn't songwrite. She has many writers and just changes some words around.

It's great that you know her well enough to say why she married the man she's been married to since 2008 but you clearly know nothing about her career. Dislike her if you want but opinions are not facts.

"Beyoncé is one of the world's best-selling recording artists, having sold 118 million records worldwide.[6] Her success during the 2000s was recognized with the Recording Industry Association of America's Top Certified Artist of the Decade, as well as Billboard magazine's Top Radio Songs Artist and the Top Female Artist of the Decade.[7][8] Beyoncé is the most nominated woman in the Grammy Award's history and has the second most wins for a woman with a total of 24.[9] She is also the most awarded artist at the MTV Video Music Awards, with 24 wins, including the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.[10][11] In 2014, she became the highest-earning black musician in history and was listed among Time's 100 most influential people in the world for a second year in a row.[12] Forbes ranked her as the most powerful female in entertainment on their 2015 and 2017 lists. She occupied the sixth place for Time's Person of the Year in 2016,[13] and in 2020, was named one of the 100 women who defined the last century by the same publication.[14] Beyoncé was also included on Encyclopædia Britannica's 100 Women list in 2019, for her contributions to the entertainment industry.[15]"

In the era of mediocre music and desperate hunger for number 1's hence so called artists make controversial songs/videos just to cause unnecessary conversations,this woman stands out. It's undeniable the effort,art and vision she puts out.

It makes the rest look like they're not even trying.

People get robbed just like her missing out on Album of the year but there are some excellent artists who get the recognition for great work...Beyoncé is one of those!!!!

@Matej

@yakyak

Duse how long have they been married lol

This is not Kanye/Kim doing stuff for attention...If anything marrying Jay and him cheating on her is like her only faux pas.

They made a great team but what else???

Her career was/is bigger than his so what you on about???

She ain't even got a manager,she manages herself.

She's been always consistent that's what keeps elevating her career.

All the chart success in the world doesn't necessarily mean the music is good. Celine Dion, Shania Twain, Spice Girls, N'SYNC, Britney Spears, New Kids On the Block, and other chart toppers have put out albums certified as Diamond (10 million copies) by the RIAA but they are all TRASH.

Meanwhile, you have 'sleeper hit' albums that reach platinum and gold (Ramones, Roxy Music) and then those artists get great critical respect and fandom greater than before, over time. RUSH got trash-canned all the time by the critics, supposedly they had only one Top 40 hit but now everybody has 'suddenly become' a RUSH fan.

And then certain bands get hyped up as whatever. Asia was promoted to be the 'Band of the 80s'. Where are they now? These 'American Idols'? Flashes in the pan.

My kids like her, so for these kids I guess the woman is good, but I personally like musicians and not artists so much.

You’re certainly entitled to your opinion but that’s the beauty of music, movies, art, etc. Each and every person has their own feelings and it’s really pretty irrelevant as to what you like or don’t like with regards to that. The point of the original post was whether or not she has been successful, not whether or not you like her music. By all means she has most certainly been successful.

A great Diva.

Maybe so, but will she remember as a titan for all time? Will Beyonce be remember 30 years from now? Will she inspire other artists? Inspiration is a major factor in the long run.

And yes there are boring and chumpy acts that never go away as well.
