Just scrap the awards, they are just a bunch of old men voting for what they think is PC.

The Oscars have thousands of voters

Some people think that's the problem

I'm ok with the awards, but my football team doesn't have 3 hrs of network TV coverage for our annual banquet.

Does anyone actually watch it? Seriously?

I remember a time when the Oscars actually meant something, when good imaginative movies and stars got awards. Just like the Grammys and MTV Awards used to be awarded for artistic merit.

I think I'll be reading more chapters of Phil Collins' autobiography that I've been putting off. Now that's a person who excels in music and acting. Saw him in concert last October and had a fun time.

People always say that, but the movies that tend to win the big Oscar awards like Best Picture are movies that people hardly ever heard of

Like artsy-fartsy stuff. Although anything with cool CGA but nothing else noteworthy will get the Oscars too. And many 'classics' just don't stand up the test of time. 'Titanic' was just a colossal bore to me. Kate Winslet was something to look at and that's about all.
