Did I miss it, or didn't they say which end the sword was pointing at the time?

Article doesn’t state if Maduro was again responsible for more casualties on this occasion.

- “...passing the katana to Maduro, who then sliced the blade through the air several times in an ornate office. Seagal, dressed all in black, nodded approvingly.”

Seagal has put on even more weight in the picture. Looks a bit like Totoro.

That must but what he uses to make his peanut butter and jelly sanwiches.

He was hardly a "star" now he looks like someone that eats way too much.

Steven Seagal was slated but later replaced by Danny Glover as the lead role in “Predator 2”. That would have been a very different film if they had continued with Seagal’s eccentric ideas. However, in the Planet Hollywood days, he did interact with Glover who also developed a friendship with Maduro. Hollywood creates strange bedfellows, doesn’t it?

segal has turned in a real porker! And visiting dictators is unbecoming in case you dont know segal!

3 ( +7 / -4 )

That hair hat he is wearing looks stupid but Under Seige is one of my favourite action movies.

Isn't he famous for making straight-to-DVD movies?

Isn't he famous for making straight-to-DVD movies?

And famous for some very unsavoury sexual abuses. Allegedly, natch.

And famous for some very unsavoury sexual abuses. Allegedly, natch.

Lots of cases of sexual harassment, illegal trafficking of females for sex, sexual abuse, wrong termination of a contract (on a woman), etc. If you discount that, he has also been involved in many incidents where he's accused of intentionally hitting stuntmen. In many aspects, he's a really bad person.

Well then, @Toasted Heretic 10:55am, Seagal & Glover should feel ‘right at home’ each time they continue to visit with notable friends and “financial backers” like Putin, Mudura, Chavez, and others.

And [Allegedly] famous for some abuses, natch.

Isn't that Lorne Michaels' all time favorite SNL host?

According to a couple of my students who studied akido, they told me that friends of theirs who practiced with Seagal when he was in Japan said he was really slow.

I don't think I've ever heard of Steven Seagal, but I have a suggestion for him. He could replace the katana he gave to Maduro with a "fighting Dah" (sword) given to him by the top commander of Myanmar's military, Sr. Gen. Min Aung Hlaing. Yes, the guy who has been killing unarmed protesters in his own country, including many children.

When I see actors doing dumb things, I just recall that they are only actors and not role models for anyone. I do wonder what he's doing in Venezuela, but being polite to your host is good manners once you are there. Perhaps he wrote a "love letter?"

I'm seldom disappointed by Seagal's movies. We know what will happen almost always and the action is usually fast and fun. I do remember 1 film where he was killed about 15 minutes into the movie. I was shocked, but most definitely surprised.

For a while, he was making films in eastern Europe. As long as they don't pretend to be somewhere else, that's fine. Drives me crazy when a film set in Florida has mountains in the background. Florida doesn't have any hills, much less, mountains.

JCVD movies are similar. Love his series on Amazon Prime. At least JCVD is funny.

And the starving poor with no food and medicines?

Caused by viscous US sanctions. A country that pushed for a unelected puppet president in a country with a democratic elected president.

Good on Segal.

Gawd, the guy is such a joke, he gives Aikido such a bad name, never met a person more loathsome. No one in Hollywood likes this guy. Been a problem for years and that’s why he produces his own movies and they go straight to DVD, as far as Aikido, his offensive style is fantastic and was definitely a game changer, he definitely honed and made it more lethal, but as a person the guy is a basket case

Principle-challenged poseur macho man Seagal has always been willing to play the role of equal-opportunity clown and jester for dictators and "strongmen" of every stripe. It has now become a tiresomely futile act that only serves to shore up his own sagging sense of self-worth as evidenced by his painfully visible physical decline.

I liked his movies. I hope he slims down so he can star in some new ones.

Why would anyone be honored to get a Japanese sword from Seagal? So he lived here and had a dojo for awhile. So what?

1 ( +4 / -3 )

Nice to see that Steve hasn’t missed any meals during the lockdown.

Speaks Japanese quite well. Above the law was a great movie (even if he runs like a girl). Seems to be a genuinely lousy person.

Anybody seen Richie??

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Crikey - looks like Seagal is following the Marlon Brando body maintenance regime.

He's getting ready for his new movie "Battle of the Buffet." He plays a CIA hero who drags not two, but three giant plates of mashed potatoes to safety from the buffet table. His cover job is tail gunner on a trash truck, where he earns medals for valiant efforts in both trash and recycling.

@ Peter, that movie was already done. It was called Spy.

I guess going against all the norms gets you some fame.

Physically or mentally?

And to think, Kelly LeBrock married that!

Seagal & Glover should feel ‘right at home’ each time they continue to visit with notable friends and “financial backers” like Putin, Mudura, Chavez, and others.

It will certainly be newsworthy to see them continue to visit Hugo Chavez, seeing as he's been dead for nearly a decade.

Funny. Sure thing, @Toasted 11:30.

“It will certainly be newsworthy to see Hugo Chavez” -

Chavez is now dead, along with Fidel Castro. Yet, it doesn’t negate the fact that Seagal & Glover met with, accepted money & ‘gifts’ and admire these ‘leaders’. There’s photos and media accounts to prove it these facts.

Their ‘friends’, the late Fidel Castro and the late Hugo Chávez, and now, Nicolás Maduro are documented oppressors of the worst kind who have destroyed their own countries, sent millions into painful exile and are violators of basic human rights like freedom of speech.

That being said, we’ll retract a portion of our earlier 11:39am post and repost it with the verbiage corrected to be accurate and current:

- “Well then, @TH 10:55am, Seagal & Glover should feel ‘right at home’ each time they continue to visit with notable friends and “financial backers” like Putin, Mudura, and other oppressors.” -

Now then, can You back up with photos and/or documentation Your 10:55am “sexual abuse” allegations against Steven Seagal?

Toasted Heretic 5/6 10:55am [Q:] Isn't he famous for making straight-to-DVD movies? - [A:] TH: “And famous for some very unsavoury sexual abuses. Allegedly,”

And to think, Kelly LeBrock married that!

I heard he was very abusive, it is amazing thinking about how a one-time supermodel, drop-dead gorgeous model/actress like LeBrock marries an idiot like Seagal. No one likes a woman beater and those allegations and the complaints from people and co-stars that said he was impossible to work with shows how crazy, mental, and self-absorbed this guy is. No one likes an abuser especially when it involves women or kids. Got to meet him at an Aikido exhibition in LA back in 1994 and I have to say, the guy is huge and this was before he blimped up, he's at least 6'6 and has that intimidating look for sure.

Now then, can You back up with photos and/or documentation Your 10:55am “sexual abuse” allegations against Steven Seagal?

You want photos of sexual abuse allegations? Er, I don't think so.

However, here's just some of the allegations of abuse and threatening behaviour.

We think @3:04p may be able to help you with that @P.Smith 2:51p:

- “How do you know he is a woman beater?” -

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

Thanks for the justifying those claims @ToastedHeretic 3:04pm with confirmation documentation of the allegations exists. So, then We can agree, WE both do NOT support Steven Seagal.
