I understand the discomfort.

"I am well aware that centuries of entitlement to women's bodies whether they like it or not is not going to change overnight," she continued. "Or in a year."

Well said, Emma Thompson.

Emma Thompson is a typically irritating, cringeworthy, very British thespian type.

She is right here though. He does sound sleazy.

So what are the financial responsibilities of an actor that drops out of a movie?

Good for her.

So what are the financial responsibilities of an actor that drops out of a movie?

Ask Winona Ryder, who was supposed to be in The Godfather III.

A shame, really. Much as I appreciate Sofia Coppola's directorial output, she just didn't fit properly into that film.

"If a man has been touching women inappropriately for decades, why would a woman want to work for him if the only reason he's not touching them inappropriately now is that it says in his contract that he must behave 'professionally?'"

So let me get this right: you let the guy touch you for decades? If you let them touch you for decades for the sake of your career then you simply sold out your own dignity. These celebrity women are displaying themselves as victims but the reality is that both sides are morally bankrupt.

If you let something happen that you can put a stop to then you're just as much to blame as the other person. Individuals, especially when they reach adulthood, have a moral duty to make their intensions known and clear, and it's no excuse to trade your dignity for your career and then complain about it later. I'm sick to death of these privileged celebrities spewing their superficial wisdom onto the world and complaining when they get paid millions to basically dress up and play about all day.

With his bad reputation like it is, Emma has a right to decide not to deal with this guy and his crap. Just like actresses shouldn't have to put up with Harvey Weinstein's crap, and females in government shouldn't have to take any crap from Diaper-Stinking Donny.
