Former Takarazuka Revue star and popular stage actress Yuki Amami, 45, has dropped out of her latest theatrical run after suffering myocardial infarction, media reported Thursday.
Amami, who had been starring in "L'honneur de Napoleon" at the Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre, complained of feeling sluggish and weak on Monday night, her management said. Sports Nippon reported that she was taken to hospital where doctors said she had suffered a mild heart attack. Amami was admitted immediately and ordered to take 7-10 days of bed rest.
Amami was scheduled to appear until May 12. The Wednesday and Thursday performances of the play were canceled. Amami's role is to be taken over by Rie Miyazawa for the rest of the performances.

'Tis a shame she had to drop out of the performance, but at least she is alive and relatively well. Hope she recovers completely and goes on with the show later.

She still looks good. Hope she recovers fully.

Ah, she'll be fine. After all, she's being looked after by Japanese doctors...! lol

Hope she recovers fast and back to normal again, I enjoy your TV series a lot.

Hard to see Miyazawa having the same presence.

I would have considered her to not be at risk for a heart attack given her background in dance and performance. She may need to review her endorsements.
Hope for a speedy recovery.

I read risk of heart attack in Japan is half of the USA. BUT and a BIG but. Surivial rate of heart attach victims is twice as low in Japan. In Japan its takes so long to get you, then they slowly drive you to the hospital you are dead. And when was the last time you saw a Japanese ad telling you to take a "baby asprin" when you feel heart attack symtoms?

A lot of soccer players in Britain are having similar episodes and some are even dying due to congenital weaknesses in thier bodies . No matter how fit we are , our bodies have their limitations and should not be pushed ridiculously hard !

Yuki is one of my favorites here, and I hope she recovers very quickly. I love those Strong Zero commercials. They are hilarious.

I love Amami, she's so pretty & talented. I was worried for her when I found out that she had suffer a heart attack & was admitted to hospital, but thankfully she's ok now. I read an article a few days back stating that she has been discharged from the hospital.
