I never understood why people would pay money just to see pictures of celebrities' kids in a magazine or on TV.

The media photogs lost all sense of respect and reasonableness long ago. If it's not an official function, the celebs ought to be allowed privacy, too.

If I were famous Id hire someone to follow these guys and take pictures of them.

I hope the wordings are correct and that they are strong. They should get punished. Harshly. I hope they cover everything.I couldn't stand them. They are there all the time? Monkey would be thinking about a weapon, and that would not be good.

Oh, boo hoo. They chose a profession that puts them and their families in the spotlight 24/7. They don't like the price of fame? Switch careers to one that is not so high profile.

Problem solved.

Im with RR. Dont want the attention? Drop out of acting and get a job at Walmart. Then see how you feel when no one gives a crap about you anymore. No, your kids did not choose this life. But you did, and you knew that one day you would be having children. You knew what you would be subjecting them to when you made the choice to earn ridiculous sums of money in the limelight. Im sick of celebrities bellyaching about how tough they have it when I see people living not 10 miles down the road from their Bel Air mansions scraping to get by on nothing.

A celebrity law, a Hollywood law, an elite law...give me a break! Why don't these 'superior US citizens' spend their time and effort urging support for laws that will protect all children.

The legislation is apparently needed to more clearly define the difference between media attention and media harassment and impose proper sanctions for overstepping the boundaries in an age where we all talk about rights to privacy but don't give a hoot when it is 'the other person' who is being pestered. As long as news gathering organizations cannot or will not reign in ruthless behavior it will have to be the state doing it for them.
