Was a great show!!

Yes, I placed my order last week. Brings back wonderful memories. I read that the series was the most sought after DVD release for the past few years. They certainly took their time about it.

I know that the film has been on DVD for years, but I didn't know the TV series wasn't. Hopefully they'll release it as series sets and not just the Complete Series set.

Holy blast from the past! This is going on my wishlist.

I might get it, I haven't seen it since I watched some reruns of it back in the early 90s. Just for nostalgia.

Holy smoke!
"the series, with its gleefully cheesy on-screen graphics"
Bam! Pow! Kapow! Zzonk!
Batman: No use, Joker! I knew you'd employ your sneezing powder, so I took an Anti-Allergy pill. Instead of a sneeze, I've caught you cold!
Ha ha ha ha good stuff, West!

The show was pure camp, with a seemingly endless list of stars lining-up to portray villains:
Frank Gorshin (Riddler), John Astin (Riddler when Frank was unavailable one time), Burgess Meredith (Penguin), Cesar Romero (Joker), George Sanders (Mr. Freeze), Anne Baxter (Zelda the Great - and in a different episode - Olga, Queen of the Cossacks), David Wayne (Mad Hatter), Malachi Throne (False-Face), Julie Newmar (Catwoman - seasons 1 and 2), Eartha Kitt (Catwoman - season 3), Victor Buono (King Tut), Roddy McDowell (Bookworm), Art Carney (Archer), Van Johnson (Minstrel), Shelly Winters (Ma Parker), Walter Slezak (Clock King), Vincent Price (Egghead), Liberace (Chandel and Harry), Otto Preminger (Mr. Freeze beginning of season 2), Eli Wallach (Mr. Freeze - end of season 2), Carolyn Jones (Marsha - Queen of Diamonds), Cliff Robertson (Shame), Maurice Evans (Puzzler - a stand-in for the Riddler when Gorshin was having a contract dispute), Michael Rennie (Sandman), Roger C. Carmel (Colonel Gumm), Tallulah Bankhead (Black Widow), Joan Collins (Siren), Ethel Merman (Lola Lasagne), Milton Berle (Louie the Lilac), Rudy Valee (Lord Marmaduke Ffogg), Glynis Johns (Lady Penelope Peasoup), Zsa Zsa Gabor (Minerva)

It'll be my birthday gift to myself.

I think before everyone dismisses this show, people forget at the time the TV series was originally shown on TV in the USA, the real Batman comics had similar really "campy" story lines. It wasn't until the 1980's that the much "darker" Batman we know today emerged again.

I didn't know Adam West was still alive. He looks great for 86 years old.

Holy Amazon order.
