Richard Crudo, a veteran Hollywood cinematographer whose credits include "American Pie,"

LOL, a movie that some High School talent could have done the cinematography for.

Well let’s just hope they reject the copy/paste and the social engineering direction of greedy Hollywood and make original movies again.

If only we didn’t have to endure the movies these equity types produce it wouldn't be such a bad thing , I guess, sort of....

How about this for a suggestion, most capable person gets the job, produces the best work. Race, gender, sexual preference, whatever; irrelevant. You know, the real equality. Clean slate, simple. The quality of the art always speaks for itself, agendas just cheapen everything.

People will gravitate to areas of study and employment that they are interested in. You can't force it. Equality of outcome is a joke.

As long as there's equity in opportunity (which there's currently isn't), it'll turn out just fine

Rich, white old men Hollywood execs still prefer other rich, white kids

There is equity in opportunity. The people best suited for the role is the one who gets the job. Only sore losers think there's a giant global conspiracy.

Where's the diversity shaming in the NBA? Its still 74% black. That does not reflect the makeup of America. Blacks make up only 13% of our society.

Not currently. With these on-screen jobs, it's really more who you know that gets you a foot in the door. But unless rich white execs go outside their social circles, how are non-rich white kids gonna get to know them? There are no standardized tests or certifications for these things that levels the playing field

Sports is different, particularly basketball. With basketball, like soccer, practically anybody can play without the need for expensive upfront costs. So it comes down to skills and even one-on-one matchups - so ya can really tell who's better.

Another example is sprinting - anybody can run, just need shoes.

There is talent in every race, color, ethnicity, etc. and Hollyweird needs to recognize and hire them. Just don't make them token or stereotypical characters, because most stereotypes I've been 'taught' in my life are not true

Yes, to quote En Vogue they need to 'free their minds' and make good original movies again. And the rest will follow!
