I wasn't aware Lana had come out until well after the fact, and was a little confused as to why a brother and sister pair were called "Wachowski Brothers" (but didn't think it was bad, of course -- just indicative of an older way of thinking... might actually make the Japanese "kyoudai" make more sense here) and was SURE it had been two brothers when the Matrix came out. Now it makes sense.

I think a good deal of their stuff since the Matrix has been crappy. I did like V for Vendetta and Cloud Atlas (book far better than movie), but Jupiter Ascending, Speed Racer, and Sense8 -- ouch! They spend too much time hitting the audience over the head with what they are trying to say when their best movies or sequences do it either in action or with fewer words.

Anyway, good on them!

So taking the blue pill does have an effect then.....

@smithinjapan Bound was also good, when they focus on the story, and do not get distracted by pumping out special effects, the films are good.

In 2009, Larry divorced, began living as transgendered Lana, and eventually married another woman.

So... He's a transgender lesbian?

They've been hit and miss. Bound and Matrix were excellent - I haven't been much of a fan of the rest of their work.

I'm coming out too! I'm a male heterosexual, and I sure as hell have no plans to remove my parts.

I'm very happy for them both! ^ ^ Good luck sensei258 too.

*transgender not 'transgendered'

Why not just stay a man if he wanted to marry a woman?

Why not just stay a man if he wanted to marry a woman?

Because she wanted to be a woman. It's not a difficult concept.
