Singer Agnes Chan, 54, will perform at the Budokan in Tokyo for the first time in 32 years next March 16. Chan vowed to show audiences her best performance featuring songs recorded after her 1972 Japan debut, "Hinageshi no Hana." She plans to create a colorful, international show, inviting guests from Canada and Korea.
Chan last performed in Japan on Aug 31, 1978. "I was completely absorbed in my work and don't really remember that time very well," she said, "but I still remember being lifted down on stage with a crane and having about 10,000 people yell 'Welcome home!' to me." The now mother of three said she plans to create a performance to live on in the minds of both herself and her fans.

Well, she may become Mother Teresa of Japan, a kind hearted woman misfit in entertainment world.

That's just great, but I wish she could hold a tune. Quite a nice lady, but she just can't sing. Her "cuteness" as a Chinese teenager in Japan really got her audience.
