That judgmental bully attitude can be applied to fans of all major idol groups (and their producers as well). These girls, while they may be as bright as a burned-out light bulb, are in reality very sweet girls. They do not deserve to be judged in such harsh ways.

I think that the mainstream Japanese view may be, as long as the lady is pure (in this video her purity is emphasised by the use of "Ave Maria") and merely eating mountain potato, then no harm was done. Any perceived sexual connotation is only on in the mind of some, predominantly male, viewers. And males on the other hand, are as far as I am aware, thought to be of a certain mindset by virtue of their nature, so they are not being corrupted. Being natural, that mindset is not thought to be "dirty." Had the female, any Japanese female, expressed any sexual desire then that would have been thought very"dirty". Those that are criticising this video suspect that Yuki Kashiwagi may have been complicit, but there is little evidence of that accusation. Mountain potato Tororo, okura and natto all with similar consistency, are Japanese delicacies.

My gosh....People must have a very creative mind to see vulgarity in this video. Especially knowing that she seemed to have chose the Natto or the Yam for promoting her New drama... In regards to the video listed here. AKB has a new show called Eizou Center, where members post videos on AKB's official channel in a contest to get the most views. Every week Eizou Center covers the results. The first week Umeda Ayaka did a dance cover of Perfume and made quite an impression. This video wasn't about being scandalous and if this offends the Rachel Tackett's delicate sensibilities I really don't care. I also recommend that this article be moved to the oped section of JT since this is blatantly an opinion piece and "reporting" is nowhere to be found here.
