Aki Hoshino promotes next-generation KFC store

Bikini model turned TV personality Aki Hoshino, 34, attended a publicity event for KFC in Shinjuku this week. The event, titled "Facebook Chicken Check-in Project Launch," was held to introduce the next generation of KFC stores. The new stores, which are currently under development in the capital, now have a "vegetable menu" as well as a new look.

Hoshino dutifully reproduced KFC slogans before telling the press, "I got my first ever part-time job here. When I was young, we only had KFC on birthdays and at Christmas. I wanted to have it every day."

When she was asked the obligatory question about her love life, Hoshino confessed that she had been taking cooking classes with "talent" and friend Yuko Ogura, 27, in preparation for married life. Asked which of the pair was likely to marry first, Hoshino replied, "I'd imagine Yuko would be first, right?"

Hopefully, they will bring some potatoes and mashed gravy at least, beans (wishful thinking) maybe some broccoli and get some decent chicken except for that grease they want to mask as chicken I like juicy chicken, but Japanese take the juiciness (greasiness and fat IMO) to a whole different level.

I'm a breast man,so Aki's got me running off the Colonel's way right now.

My favourite !

This woman has an eating disorder. Period. She's going to start giving Karen Carpenter a run for her money.

She should try eating more of the stuff she's promoting!

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

this 'woman' is 34???

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

Aki's first part time job was KFC! Cool!

655321, yeah she is way too skinny. the whole balance of her body looks weird. Either way never been big fan of her or her body.

Will the next-generation KFCs have cole slaw?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Looks are deceiving, she is as she is thanks to silicone and plastic surgeons. KFC should have stuck with Ayase Haruka, at least she looks more natural than this Japanese version of Barbie Doll.

Isn't she the one that should be finger lick'in good? Aki, you can get my fingers all greasy any time.

Yes, what's wrong? Whoever said it was years? It could be referring to months.

Karen had real talent though.

I can't wait to see the "vegetable" menu. If it's anything like the "salads" available at McDonalds, then I may be disappointed.

She should eat more fried chicken and potato chips/french fries.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

She used to work at KFC, and now does the PR campaign. It sounds natural that Aki and Yuko have prepared their soon-marriage lives by learning cooking.

She should eat more fried chicken and potato chips/french fries.

Why? Do you want her to have constipation and bad skin as well as skinny arms and legs?

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

chicken check-in... really!

And why not? It's not like she's a beauty queen or something. The woman is so skinny enough to fit through a straw. Now the age thing, did shock me, Whoa!!!

If KFC really wants to change things, how about adding more grilled skinless chicken burger selections like in the states with tomato (veggie) and lettuce (another veggie) and honey mustard and NO mayo, trust me, you can do wonders with chicken without using globs of the junk.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

Like a previous poster I look at her wrists and arms, stick like torso and wonder......she was a bikini model? For what? 12 year olds? Stick insects?

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

no plastic surgeon can help her...KFC made a big mistake to hire her as a their stores promoter. I associate her with bacteria.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

Bring back Haruka Ayase! She looked great as the chicken girl. Gotta admit, this Aki is still milking the cash cow at 34 based on her "looks."

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Bliimin heck, "next-generation" is used for everything. What was the original Japanese? What a load of bottox. What's wrong with "renewal open"?!

Since my oldest daughter and I went vegetarian, there are very few options for eating out, low or high end. Perhaps they will do a beanburger, but I guess it will still be fried in chicken-y oil. I wonder what their vege menu will be.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

She is built like a 'racing snake'. She needs to consume.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Gwragged - if you're vegetarian, you need to stay away from the fast-food joints. Most Italian restaurants will be able to provide something suitable, so long as cheese is OK - at least a margarita pizza, or pasta w/tomato sauce (check it doesn't contain stock and/or bacon, though). Lots of Japanese restaurants will be happy to do you a dish of veggie tempura, with lemon and salt/herb salt in place of the tentsuyu dipping sauce. Watch out they don't slip a bit of fish tempura under the veggies, though - they'll think they're doing you a favour.

Facebook Chicken Check-in Project Launch

hahahhaha!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Yeah, is that "Chicken Check In Project" or "Chicken Choking" project?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Not another one of these photos!! How about a photo of one of the new stores or menu instead. This tells us practically nothing of interest about Japan KFC.

Why show chicken breasts when you have Aki Hoshino.

A stick figure with boobs, not hot.

I wish they would introduce a low calorie, low fat Chicken burger. That would be great. Probably would taste like shoe leather though.

I think she is cute, but my legs are nicer. KFC is danger food. Just grease.

"is that Chicken Check In Project or Chicken Choking Project?"

Ha ha ha!

KFC menu is designed for Japanese consumers with less grease and calories compared to American counterparts. Aki is popular in Japan. Her image can attract specific types of customers to KFC stores in Tokyo and other venues. For her sexual physical outlook, people can have different viewpoints. If you google her name, you will find a ton of her cute pictures. Her bra size may be a jealous for other women, but husbands and boyfriends may choose their wives and girlfriends on their own judgments - intelligence, skin-deep beauty, personality and others. KFC has chosen a good PR campaign - Facebook Chicken Check-in Project Launch. A slang of chicken means coward or loser, but here is a fried chicken food. Check-in is to order or preserve. Facebook is a profile of customers. Project Launch is a new start. Japanese unmarried women also initiate their new roles as a wife and housewife by learning cooking lessons as well as having a good time with other classmates like Aki has Yuko. Many Japanese women learn flower-arrangement techniques, house decoration aesthetic composition, Japanese cooking styles and other interests before marriage life.

I think she is very beautiful, and if you google her at different ages, she gets better as she gets older.

Eight years in Japan & we only had KFC when friends served it at Christmas (at first we thought they served it because we were American, but then learned it's very popular at Christmas). Don't have it much more now, but do enjoy the spicy fried chicken, fries & cole slaw. Still think if it as "Kentucky Fried" or "Colonel Sander's." Wait until you get Popeye's (if only for the dirty rice and beans & rice)....

TakahiroDomigo; Great a link to pervy pics usually enjoyed by those who either cannot get a good woman or has to pay for their company. I am boycotting KFC now for using this tart and will email a complaint as this is a food place for all the family not just excitable silly boys.

The sooner Hoshino gets married, starts housewife duties and stops this pics the better for all of us.

Open message to KFC; Please use pics of The Colonel or your products in future, no more sexist stuff.

I wanted to have it every day.

That would be just gross.

Mod, this has gotten really, really old already.

Why do you allow steve@CPFC the luxury of shoehorning his sexist nonsense into virtually every thread at JT since the relaunch virtually unchallenged? How comments like this possibly be construed as on-topic, much less contributing to any sort of quality in the level of discourse here?

I agree 100%.

@asiantourist

I had absolutely no idea as to what you were ranting about in that last post of yours, but as far the comment about Japan's KFC having less grease. First of all, it's FRIED chicken, so that alone should tell you it's greasy! And I have had KFC in many countries, to be honest, they almost taste the same, with the exception that unlike Japan, usually in the states, they ask you which part of the chicken you want. I know most Japanese really like the juicy breast and those new spicy chicken strips and if you ever tried those unless you enjoy putting a thick slab of fat combined with grease thick enough to lube a Corvette, then I suggest never to try it. I love fried Chicken like most people, but in Japan, I always have to tell them to give me the "back" less grease-white and dry. So I would say, there is no evidence that Japanese KFC is less greasier than than the U.S., if you can prove it, please show some stats on that. But what KFC in Japan DOES need to make it better is to offer grilled chicken, potatoes+gravy, that would be a start, adding green beans and BBQ baked beans wouldn't hurt either.

I wonder how many men can admit that her oversized breasts are not attractive.

Better at what?

octopussy; i can admit that. I like real women not ones that look liek a freak show.

Never paid any attention to what mommy did in the kitchen all these (34) years, eh?

“Facebook Chicken Check-in Project Launch” Hey, catchy title. Kinda rolls off the tongue. Ha Ha

@Asian Tourist - erm...thanks?

I wonder how many men can admit that her oversized breasts are not attractive.

People are different and will like and dislike different things. However, it's not hard to imagine that most guys like her the way she is. She is very very skinny. I don't like the runway model look all that much but her top-side keeps her out of that category. Like most Japanese girls and younger women, I'm sure that she diets like crazy and wouldn't want to augment her curves by eating KFC more than a few times a year. I haven't found her to be very unpleasant to either look at or listen to on television.

Hoshino san not only has a great rack, but she knows her chicken too!
