Fly, you fools!” if they try to overwrite Tolkien’s pure & simple legacy with current politics and agendas.

You shall not pass!” should be JRRTolkein fandom’s mantra to Amazon & Bezoz IF they try to pull “a Disney”. -

Forewarned Amazon! - Hordes of fans will leave for other streaming services. Other, more creative & original entertainment options are thriving now, like self-made YouTube content, privately funded and fan-made productions, comics, etc.

Agreed! Don't mess with perfection.

Channels”?? - What era are some people still living in?

*- “…like most trash those channels broadcast.” -*

AND, where does their “Entertainment” come from??

2 ( +3 / -1 )

For example, their “Precious” anime ?? Consumers NOW ‘have choices’ of availability: in the cinema, DVD-BluRay, on YouTube and/or on streaming services.

Who wastes time & money waiting on “broadcast” TV, anymore?

As Gandalf would say to a shallow, selfish Hobbit: “*You’re a fool of a Took!**- Seems like some never really like what ever is being advertised here *in JT’Entertainment’ or, . . .

just ‘render & run’ a daily, simplistic and, (in their words) ‘pathetic’ comment of no ‘real’ consequence.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Will ‘wait & see’ as you suggest *@BigYen 9:46am, **IF …*

… you ask to revoke & redact Your 2nd unnecessary comment. - NOT trying to censor speech IF it’s in the appropriate arena. - It’s just that ‘real” JRRT fans and fandom are NOW trying to keep the trashy, current politics & personal agendas out of OUR Entertainment”.

Forth, and fear no darkness” - So, are You a ‘real fan’ of JRRT’s Middle Earth, too?

Hopefully, so. And together, a united ‘fandom’ can turn the tide of the battle.

*- “Arise, arise, riders of Théoden! Spears shall be shaken, shields shall be splintered!” -*

I doubt that the cult following crowd of Lord of the rings will even watch this. This is more for the couch “taters” / water cooler crowd who would watch anything as long as it has violence and sex, which I’m guessing this will have. I may be surprised, but I’m not holding my breath. My experiment with game of thrones only lasted 4 minutes. I’m guessing there will be lots useless blah blah talking as which is a quick push of the off button. I am wondering though, how are they gonna work the Lgbq? stuff into it?

I'm looking forward to this. I think this will appeal in the same way as Game of Thrones did if it's done right. I didn't have high hopes before GoT before it started, as fantasy on TV had mostly been campy crap before that. GoT got it right though, and appealed to an adult audience.

No offense intended @BigYen 10:27am. Please re-read the words: “OUR” and “IF”. - No other ‘implications’ or ‘claims’ were made. (Perhaps you imagined those?)

Aye, you’ve read it more than most. We are equals. And, the ‘request’ for a withdrawal was diplomatically ‘offered’, as a truce for consideration to watch, rendered in a kind of “Fellowship” to a like-minded ‘Fan’. - So,…

“Farewell, and may you find what you seek!" cried Eomer. "Return with what speed you may, and let our swords hereafter shine together!" -

Hopefully hey dont mess it up........looking forward to that.

I'm not holding my breath. If it's the same as the movies, why make it? There will be gay characters, transgenders and all sorts of wokeness.

But I hope I'm wrong.

If they base it on the Silmarillion and the Book of Lost Tales it could be a nice complement to the movies. There is some good materials for epic stories there. However if it is pure invention "inspired by" then I'll pass and stick with the books.

Gay and transgender characters are actually cool and good.

You have my sword...

And my bow...

I don't see how they are going to pull it off, but, nothing ventured,......

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Que black hobbits and badass females (you go girl) with no weakness. This is going to be a tick list of woke. The beauty of Tolkien is the stories are timeless, this will be firmly in the 21st century left wing political realm.

The first season is already complete. Have there been any plot leaks to help us look forward to September of next year?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

They should not make it at all. They will only dumb it down even further than the films did so as to pander to the lowest common denominator and their advertisers. Anything thoughtful or challenging? Forget it just chuck in some more sex and violence.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Please don't Amazon , we have had enough of this and the Holly Potters, NO THANK YOU.

It is time for some fresh ideas and screens, please.

Oh dear…,
