cla68Today 07:59 am JSTWhere is the celebrity outrage against the constant anti-Trump propaganda (read: accurate coverage)  in the rest of the mainstream media?

they're not insulting trump. they're (accurately) describing him.

You can't expect outraged anti-Trump celebrities to express your pro-Trump outrage for you.

Bingo.

If you want celebrities to start being pro-Trump, you need to make Trump appealing to celebrities, so they will be pro-Trump. You know, how they do it in Democratic nations.

I'm outraged about the outrage on all sides. Whatever happened to reporting facts and letting the public decide what is means?

The internet happened. People never used to have a voice. Now they do.

Is the President's fragile ego more important than the state-sanctioned abuse of children?

Good on Levitan, this is an issue so terrible that the more people who speak out against it, the better.

And it's delightful to see how reasoned, sensible and thought-provoking those voices are.

As for Modern Family, it was great but when Nathan Fillion's character started dating Haley it got a bit creepy. Maybe that was the point of that storyline but I kind of drifted away from it.

Bit Dirty Den and Michelle Fowler, innit.

The more people are outraged against this fascist scumbag, the better. And Fox News is Rupert Murdoch's sick vision alone - NOT the truth.

Apparently Seth MacFarlane has donated a chunk of his earnings from Fox--$2 million to NPR and an additional $500,000 to local radio station KPCC, according to the LA Times. So, good on him. If you have to take that blood money, at least donate it to a worthy cause.

Japan has been doing the exact same thing for a longer period of time, where's the outrage?

There needs to be a solution for complicated immigration cases, I don't think it should involve unlimited detention periods and it certainly shouldn't involve detaining kids in jails.

"Levitan, who won five consecutive Emmy Awards for the long-running ABC sitcom, had already announced that next year's 10th season would be the last, with his 20th Century Fox Television contract due to expire."

IOW, he was leaving already. The other 3 big names are scolding Fox but still cashing Murdoch's checks.

Oh no, Hollywood is outraged, we better act now before they get further upset.

Laura Ingraham needs to shut her mouth. If she is a mom then she isn't a good one because she is so cold and callous about abducted children - VERY un-motherly traits. She's just a stupid shrieking panic-mongering talking head anyway and she DOES NOT belong in journalism. She's a screeching parrot.

Funny about the liberals with regard to Trump. They complain he did THIS or didn't do THAT - but when he fixes/switches THIS or does THAT, they still complain about it. Never saw a bigger case of sore loser syndrome in all my life. Hilary lost. I'm sorry, it happens. We don't always get our way in life. Now everyone back to work so you can continue to pay taxes for all the illegal emigrants you want running the streets of USA.

anti-Trump propaganda

There is no such thing. It's fake news.

It wouldn't matter soon anyway - Fox Studios would either be Comcast or Disney, separated from Fox News

So, now families can stay together right?

What?

No hand clapping?

Oh, the hypocrisy of the idiots in Hollyweird. Who cares what these out of touch fools think, next.....

My understanding is Bill Clinton originally enacted the law to separate the kids from the parents

There's no law that forces the US President to separate kids from the parents - this is just the President's policy

That's why Trump is able to end it just by signing an order to rescind his policy - no new law required

Anger mounts in Hollywood over Fox immigration coverage

How can anger "mount" in Hollyweird when Hollyweird's finest have been frothing at the mouth ever since it became obvious that ol' Hillary had lost her 2nd (and last) attempt to be POTUS?

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

My understanding is Bill Clinton originally enacted the law to separate the kids from the parents, since then there has been George Bush Jr, Barack Obama and now Donald Trump - funny this law hasn't been an issue with the previous Presidents, there wasn't any previous media outrage, the celebrities were no where to be seen during previous Presidency's use of this same law.

The honest truth is that whenever one president leaves and a new one enters (even if the same party), the new administration will blame the old one simply because it's easy to do and the old pres/admin isn't actively there to defend themselves.

In the case of Trump, where there is literally so much hatred for the man, even if the media concluded that indeed many of these policies were in place during Clinton/Obama, their supporters would still find a reason to say why it was ok back then, and why Trump is wrong now.

The people who are against Trump will always be against Trump. It really doesn't matter what he does. Even if he did everything the Dems/Libs/Socialists want, they will still call him racist, sexist, etc.

There is a solution for immigration matters in all countries. It's called the visa process. If you live in Country A and want to work, study, invest, visit, etc - there is a visa for it. You fill out the papers, provide the documents and items requested, pay a fee, and wait. You get a yes or no answer. Your wants don't equal your needs.

Listen to the interviews/soundbites of the people who are waiting to cross into the USA, have been detained doing so, etc. The vast majority give the same reason as wanting a better life (work, money, school, etc). It is not the responsibility of the USA to provide those things to the world. Jobs, wages, schools, housing, security, food, etc - those the each individual countries responsilbity to its own people.

And it is not a claim for asylum. Civil war in your homeland, yes. Living as a Christian in Syria and having your home burned to the ground and told you will be beheaded, yes (religious persecution). Only being able to earn $5/month, your country having no schools, tired of eating unleavened bread - sorry, no.

Boycott Fox. As for removing children from their family, when has the US ever had an interest in human rights? Look how they have treated African/Americans, look at their use of Agent Orange on civilians in Vietnam, look at their killing of innocent civilians in Iraq, look at their support if the killing of women and children by Israel, and this has been by successive Administrations. US citizens but take responsibility for these actions, for these human rights violations because they voted in their various presidents and have allowed this to do this without accountability.
