Oh, wow. Just what we needed. Another cringeworthy adaptation of a Japanese anime.

I don't understand your analysis -in what ways do you mean "messy" and "not fresh".

Not sure how this can be adapted to the stage... it's a bit... big. Lots of big locations, tree tops...
Messy? Don't agree with that... but 'fresh'? What on earth is that meant to mean? You mean it's not edgy with spiky hair lads hurling magic energy balls at speed line-surrounded roaring monsters?

Totoro is such a sad and depressing movie... my wife watched it when she was young which i can't understand why they would let such young children watch this...

I love My Neighbor Totoro but I'm unsure if it'll translate well onto the stage. There are many big props that'll need to be made and location sets as well. Sounds a bit like a technical nightmare to be honest.

My Neighbor Totoro is one of my favorite movies ever I watch it maybe once a year along with Pom Poko, Kiki's delivery service, Laputa, Spirited away and can't forget Nausicaa and Howls moving castle... Dang it I like pretty much all of them..
Although not sure how Totoro would translate to the stage how will they represent the cat bus? I hope not a cardboard cut out . Would Totoro be somebody in a suit? or would it need to be three? two on the bottom one on their shoulders?
