Not funny.

How thick in the head can one guy be?

Dumb, ignorant and trying not to see the seriousness in this global epidemic. Maybe he thinks he would not be infected? Such a disgraceful character.

"I don’t think of this as an April Fool’s prank...I wanted to tell you that protecting yourself is protecting the precious people around you," Kim said.

Should have said that in your post.

"I have been infected with COVID-19. It is a result of my negligence, disregarding the cautionary words of the government and my friends," he said.

I don't understand where in his original post does it say protecting yourself is protecting the people precious to you. All that it implies is that he has contracted COVID-19 due to his, "negligence, disregard to the government's advice and friends". No where in his original statement does the message say protecting yourself is protecting people around you.

It is insensitive to be pulling a prank amidst a pandemic that has already seen thousands of lives lost.

Not quite how we do it “in the west”

Arrogant and ignorant to the global pandemic, and a disgrace to treat his fans in that way. His true character has shined through from this 'joke' of his.

I doubt (hope anyway) that we'll be seeing him being active anytime soon though. He is being torn to shreds right now by Knetz and the majority of the K Pop community. The only people defending him are his diehard delusional fangirls, and fortunately those are very few and far between right now.

Idiot.

No doubt the Korean fan base on this website will down vote all these critical comments.

It should be like in Thailand where April Fool's pranks about coronavirus are punishable by law.

It's a shame Kim Jae-joong has been struck down by the virus. So I guess JYJ will be defunct.

Oh well... on to the next cookie cutter K-pop group.

He did it after drinking to many Corona beers,

How do you say stupid douchbag in Korean? I hardly doubt the people of South Korea appreiciate this.

He indeed has the coronsvurus! It is a new strain that attacks the carrier's brain and make the host incredibly stupid.

There may not be a Korean equivalent of the slang word 'douchbag' but SK has been having its own problems with the virus. This 'April Fools prank' is 110% DUMB. Not funny at all.
