"I have been infected with COVID-19. It is a result of my negligence, disregarding the cautionary words of the government and my friends," he said.

I don't understand where in his original post does it say protecting yourself is protecting the people precious to you. All that it implies is that he has contracted COVID-19 due to his, "negligence, disregard to the government's advice and friends". No where in his original statement does the message say protecting yourself is protecting people around you.

It is insensitive to be pulling a prank amidst a pandemic that has already seen thousands of lives lost.

Dumb, ignorant and trying not to see the seriousness in this global epidemic. Maybe he thinks he would not be infected? Such a disgraceful character.

There may not be a Korean equivalent of the slang word 'douchbag' but SK has been having its own problems with the virus. This 'April Fools prank' is 110% DUMB. Not funny at all.
