“It’s a strange, funny time where everybody would love to be able to be themselves, but they can’t. They must fall in line with the person in front of them. If you want to live that life, I wish you the best.”

For supporting people like Eugene Smith and Hunter Thompson I have to agree with Depp on this.

''since a jury last year largely sided with him''

Oh give it up already. The verdict HAD to be unanimous, and WAS. The jury didn't 'largely' side with him, they reached a unanimous verdict.

Just sayin'

Depp could take a ten year break, come back, make a movie and be right back on top again, like Keanu Reeves.

Not if he doesn't change his lifestyle of boozing and hard drugs. Look at his picture and compare him to Reeves.

Depp knows his way and France gives people the right to speak especially if you don't think like others.

He surely has a grudge against Hollywood which revealed itself as rotten and totally woken but not awaken.

Life with bread and wine, and respected, makes a man happy !

Yes, of course he has not...yet. Just wait until some fool comes along and offers him a gross amount of money and he will bite their hand off. Mind, as someone who has never seen one of his films he might be worth it, stranger things happen....lol!
