i have read a fair few of this fella’s books and the early ones definitely appealed when I was younger, Dance Dance Dance, A Wild Sheep Chase, but one thing I discovered through reading those books, and now , is that his music taste sucks ! Lol

Japan's FM airwaves have long sounded like elevator music service providers, thanks to guys like this. What is this obsession among Japanese program directors to provide "relaxation" and relieving stress"? The omnipresent Hawaiian music is my particular pet peeve, bossa nova comes close.

People want to hear good, gutsy tunes. No wonder the very few stations lose money hand over fist.

Even if you don’t like jazz or bossa nova, you’d have to be pretty dumb or small minded to criticize someone else for liking it.

Lol

Tango rather than bosa nova and birds rather than cats.

Personal (or is it given)preferences may differ, but the utter lack of political engagement costs a lot of sympathy in Europe.

I liked a lot his first few books, but cannot stand the recent ones, it may be that he changed his style but maybe it is me who changed.
