Management for both actress Aya Ueto, 26, and Hiroyuki Igarashi, 42, a member of the all-male group EXILE, said Tuesday that report sin Monday's tabloids that the two would get married in the spring were not true.
The tabloids reported that Ueto had let it be known to friends, family and her talent management agency that the couple, who have been dating since last year, are planning to get married during cherry blossom season.
Sports Nippon reported that details of the wedding have yet to be finalized, but said that Igarashi, known to fans as "Hiro," met Ueto's mother shortly after they began dating and that the pair have a good relationship. Insiders report that Ueto's mother often goes to dinner with them and finds Hiro to be "masculine but modest."
Friends of the couple also say that Ueto, who currently does TV commercials for a number of high-profile sponsors, will continue to appear in ads and television shows after the couple are wed.
A spokesman for EXILE's management said Igarashi is busy with his work, including getting ready a tour that starts in the spring.

So Hiro is masculine and modest is he? I doubt that very much, modest doesnt fit with the "member of an all male group" image.On the other hand Uetos mother could be right. Maybe he has a lot to be modest about, and masculine probably means he doesnt wear a vest.

I really think Aya is making a very big mistake by marrying Hiro. First of all. he is way to old for her and second, she is way too of a nice person to be with a guy like him. Anyway, I hope that I am wrong and I hope she can be happy in her decision.

Exacly. Next week the same management will formally announce the couple's wedding plans (conveniently forgetting today's announcement), but state it's not because of unfound rumours about pregnancy. The week after that, the couple will admit she's pregnant. I can see reasons why they deny these kind of things until the last minute, but it looks silly when they contradict themselves all the time at short notice.

I agree Elbuda - these are just rumors.
I really doubt she's dating him for his money. Yes, he's filthy rich but so is she. Yes, he's older but he's very fit. I'm sure he's a lot more fit than most guys in their 30s. He might not be the best looking guy but he seems pretty cool on TV.
Whether they get married or not, I wish them well.

Look at most of the celebrity marriages in recent news....they all have a common theme. In the past 2 months I can name Koda Kumi, Ogura Yuko, and Kago Ai who got pregnant and then married. I agree that it wouldn't be surprising if they suddenly got married very quickly given the apparent lack of birth control education in their society.
