Batman will not appear in Fox's 'Gotham' series

Heller makes ok shows - this one eounds alittle offbeat too.

I think Heller misses the point of Batman... he isn't a superhero. He has no powers, only a costume, detective skills and fighting skills.... and oodles of dosh. For a series called Gotham not to feature its Dark Knight is like Smallville not featuring Superman.

As for the Penguin... will he still be called Oswald Cobblepot? Or is that too incongruous in the modern world where everything has to be 'real'?

What's the point of a show about batman without batman? We all love batman for his super cool costume, gadgets and ass kicking and not for his childhood. This is such a miss lol.
