BBC and ITV to launch BritBox television streaming

Available in Japan?

I thought this was just for the US and Canada?

After the failure of BBC Store, I imagine it made sense to team up with ITV for this venture. After all, BBC Worlwide have been marketing various ITV product for years (including C4 and Sky programming).

Apparently, there's a version already in use in the USA and Canada, but details are a bit sketchy as to whether the new version will only be available in the UK or if there are plans for further overseas sales/expansion.

I thought most of BBC and ITV material was available on line anyway, not clear what extra this is meant to bring?

Why would there be a UK version? It's meant to boost British broadcasting abroad. Sort of like wondering if there would be an NHK option in Japan.

Sorry, i'm waiting for Asian version of Netflix by South Korea Broadcast, later this year, however only if they include from all over Asia, esp. Japan.

Aye, sorry, when I said domestic, I meant UK audiences. Dave seems to be full of Top Gear repeats, when I last saw it.

This Britbox is UK only.

If the BBC and ITV want to weaken Netflix all they need to do is remove their programmes from the company. About half of Netflix UK content is from the BBC or ITV.
