Elvis is here
It could be good. It could be bad. I think Magical Mystery Tour movie could do with a revamp first

The biopic is the least artistic of film genres. You can't show a life of a person on 2 hours or 20 hours of celluloid. Our time is better spent reading a well-written biography of which there are many. That said, I will probably watch these Fab Four bios for personal reasons and out of curiosity but without any high expectations.

Horrific. A cinematic crime against humanity.
unwatchable.
Nobody wanted it. Nobody saw it. Nobody remembers it.

Have to disagree with you there Stan. I don't especially like Queen, but that was a good movie. Especially on the big screen. It is the only movie that me and missus have ever gone to the cinema to see twice
stan
so you're the guy who saw it!

I saw Elvis too. It was great in the theater.

While it seems a good idea, the project could turn into a Star Wars franchise with the excessive quantity watering down the quality.
The Beatles were after all the four headed monster ( their words) so individually their stories as Beatles could be less compelling when told as individual movies.
I have never seen the Elvis movie.

George and Ringo won't get the same treatment as John and Paul.

George and John's perspective might be hard to obtain. Caution is advised. We don't want another Now and Then which taught us George and John's input up to the very end is vital for it to be Beatles in the full

I’m not a big movie watcher but I did see the Elvis film. My mate is a big Elvis fan ( I pay my due respect to Elvis ). He asked me to go along to watch it with him. I enjoyed it. Maybe it’s lese-majesty to say it was better than the films I watched starring the king himself.
I saw the Johnny Cash biopic years ago. That was pretty good.

I did, too. I admire Joaquin Phoenix and I’m a huge Johnny Cash fan, so I loved it.
I agree. I’m more than a casual fan of Chaplin, I read his autobiography and several other tomes on his life, so when I saw the movie with Robert Downey, Jr. (another actor I respect), I kind of felt a lot was missing. But for the casual fan, it could be a catalyst to deeper investigation.

Great news. There is hardly anything known about this unpopular but seminal group. I hope they can do the same for Bucks Fizz.

Maybe the Elvis film could be good for a generation not too famine with his music.
Always good to broaden your horizons. I was too young to appreciate Stevie Wonder’s 70s masterpieces. I’ll always be grateful to my mate’s mum for recommending them.

I found the Queen and Elton biopics enjoyable but the Elvis film was a total snoozefest for me and I didn't finish watching it, not sure I even made it the halfway point of the film.
