There's an old McDonalds out in the country and the building has those same arches seen in this trailer. I was shocked coming across it many years ago. It even predates the buildings I went to as a kid 40 years ago. Must be from the 50s or 60s.

These days, macdonalds Japan doesn't have a clue at what they're doing. No surprise revenue is declining. Everything is piled up in the center so you have to take a French fry and spread it around. Never enough mustard. Many times I have to go back and ask for more onions on the quarter pounder. I always have to ask them to cook me a fresh fish filet otherwise they give you a soft microwave one. My secret is to ask for no seasoning then they have to cook you a fresh burger. And why does their Coke taste like crap?

There are no other choices for US fast food where I'm at. A Wendy's or a Burger King would be great.

good timing. went to a park with the kids yesterday and ate at a local McD with big mac. After walking out had strong stomach pains and ran to find the closest toilet for an explosive session. What the heck are in those burgers!!! buyer beware,,,

secondly, there was noone cleaning the tables so I had to wipe our table ourself, and noticed at least a quarter of the tables were occupied by persons neither eating or drinking but just sitting there. I paid 1600 yen for 3 persons including 2 small kids. That money would easily cover a more appropriate lunch at a small coffee shop or other place.

The first McDonald's in Japan opened in 1971 in Ginza.

Probably the one I saw in1978 located on the first floor of Ginza Mitsubishi with the service counter on the street.

McDonald's, and its poisonous food products, is so entrenched in modern capitalist society, that this global menace won't go away without a fight. Bring on the movies! The stories! The commercials with customers saving the world by depositing change in the UNICEF box, and tackling world hunger and poverty one burger at a time. Give us headings with the words game-changer, risk taker, etc. ( very ironic, though, considering eating McDonald's is tantamount to risk taking, and in terms of good health, is a game changer). I just want this evil empire out of my life! Stop trying ruthlessly hard to link eating your junkfood, McDonald's, with some honorable moral endeavor. I don't want to see you on tv, at the theater, or anywhere else. It's hard enough having to see your golden arches litter every corner in every nook and cranny of the earth.

Perfect example of USA self-aggrandizement and lies

If you want healthy food, eat a salad. Just don't break your neck falling off your high horse. Yes Mac is "junk food". It's also a fantastic nutritional value for the money. No, I don't think the offerings are delicious, but going hungry would be worse.

Fast food victims are worse than the fast food itself. Take control of your lives, people!

I'm not a fast food victim. Don't eat it. I'm utterly turned off about it. My point was that McDonald's had become a cultural institution like church, pro-sports, the justice system. While those institutions benefit society, McDonald's ruins it with their good. They're are the epitome of heartless, soulless captalism. They'd sell you fences coated with sugar and chocolate sauce if they could get away with it. And stupid people would by it. You'd see kids getting a McDonald's education via Ronald McDonald and other characters. A commercial would suggest every time you bought the feces, you'd be helping the world, bringing the family closer together. You don't actually think the slogan "I'm lovin' it" refers to the food do you? I wouldn't expect fast food lovers to think like this anyway.

Interesting man, controversial, and at times despicable. Ain't that America:

"The definition of salesmanship is the gentle art of letting the customer have it your way."

"If any of my competitors were drowning, I'd stick a hose in their mouth and turn on the water."

"I believe in God, family, and McDonald's. And in the office, that order is reversed."

@Fizz

I share your pain, bro.

Speak for yourself, not everyone hates Miki-D's and if it has wrecked so many lives, who's fault is that? How about blaming the people that have to have 3 big macs in one setting. Everything in portions. Are there better places to get a better burger, sure, but there is something iconic about Miki-D's and taking an occasional trip is not going to hurt you. People need to stop blaming the restaurants and try to take responsibility for their own actions, if you eat Miki-D's everyday or ANY burgers for that matter, you're going to pay for it down the road. But I do have to admit Miki-D's Japan is probably the worst and for the life of me, I don't know why?
