RIP Bernard Cribbins. He's been entertaining for longer than I can remember and I'm somewhat ancient.

Think I’ll watch his turn in Fawlty Towers again. Superb character.

Brilliant all round entertainer.

Wasn't he also in worsel gummidge?

I grew up with him in so many TV shows, a genuine showbiz talent. Rip.

Loved Bernard Cribbins - I still sing 'Right Said Fred' and 'Diggin this Hole', much to young people's bemusement.

Great actor and talent, I watched him in Dr Who film in the cinema as a child and on TV as an old codger, and so much more in between. His talent will be sadly missed.

I also have been known to break in to song with Right said Fred, usually clears the room!

Even a miserable git like myself was saddened to read this news. Bernard Cribbins was a genuine legend.

He really was 'one of a kind' who could put his hand to any role given to him. My memories of him are from the late 70's onwards with the likes of The Wombles and Jackanory.

He will be missed and I hope he gets one final outing with the scenes he filmed for the Dr. Who 60th anniversary in 2023.

Wasn’t going to watch it, now I will.

He was great in The Railway Children, too. The unmistakable voice of The Wombles, “This is the home of the Wombles………”
