An American treasure gone, RIP Betty.

I guess having your full faculties and doing what you love almost to the end makes this an awesome life lived.

Goddamn it! What a way to ring in the new year. My deepest condolences to Ms. White's family and friends. And thank you, Betty White for all those decades of pure entertainment - it was such a joy to watch you. I've lost count of the number of times you've made me cry with laughter. RIP.

Nooooo! This is not a good way for 2022 to begin.

An awful way to start 2022 (or end 2021, in U.S. time). Reminds me of David Bowie and Kobe Bryant. Celebrity deaths hurt more after the holidays.

When I was in early elementary school, I remembered watching the Golden Girls with my grandmother. One episode, Rose(Betty White) and the always freaky Blanche were talking about condoms for some reason. I asked my grandma what a condom was. She laughed and told me to ask my parents. I asked my mom and with a look of shock, she told me to ask my dad. Before that though, I was able to ask a friend at school who knew what it was and took one from his parents to show me the next day. Anyways thank you to Betty White for being part of the first to teach me about the birds and the bees. Rest in Peace!

It’s so sad to think that the world has now officially run out of Golden Girls.

She was a cutie and a talent the world can ill afford to lose. Just 17 days shy of her 100th birthday which I am sure was well planned for, is a tragedy.

She made me laugh and smile and entertained with her skills as comedian and actress.

The world will watch reruns of her many shows well into the future and when Hollywood's greatest are spoken about, she will feature prominently in any such discussion.

Unpretentious, she brought joy to generations and will be irreplaceable.

Thank you Betty White for your service to entertainment.

Without a doubt, one of the best, and she was just 3 weeks shy of celebrating her 100th birthday party.

RIP Betty White, you are truly one of the last of your kind, most actors these days could learn a thing or two from you. You will be missed.

Berry White will be missed.

Some of here lines, especially in recent years, shocked me into laughing out loud.

Noooo, I loved Betty White. I knew she was old but didn’t realize she was 99! Some of her best lines were on her guest appearance in the Simpsons. RIP.

A great honorable and lovable star is now gone. A full live for sure, would've been nice if she reached 100.

I loved the 'Golden Girls' in the 80s. Fond memories. So much more. I don't know if you know this, she was also a civil rights icon. On her TV show she insisted that a Black American dancer be allowed as a regular in the cast of her show. He went on to a successful career in his own right. Many TV stations in Mississippi and other Southern states threatened to not air her show but she stuck to her guns. This was during the early 50s when TV was becoming more common and widespread in the US.

An awful way to start 2022 (or end 2021, in U.S. time). Reminds me of David Bowie and Kobe Bryant. Celebrity deaths hurt more after the holidays.

Bowie's death was a shocker. Just two weeks before in late 2015 the thrash pioneers Motorhead split immediately after the death of Lemmy. Then a few months later Princee passed away, a bad punch in the gut.

2020 started in a bad way too. It was an ugly year. Jan. 7 marked the permanent end to the band RUSH after Neil lost his 4 year fight to brain cancer. Then the next week Trump got acquitted of treason in his first impeachment. Shortly thereafter the pandemic became worldwide. And then...

2021 ended rottenly as well. Betty White and let's not forget Abp. Desmond Tutu on Dec. 26. And in US government we lost Harry Reid and Bob Dole.

RIP to all of them. Let's play it safe and work towards a better 2022.
