Thank God we still got Mayhem Fest every summer.
Thank you Ozzy (frm early Sabbath Classics, up to No Rest For the Wicked) and Black Sabbath for all those heavy guitar riffs (ft. excellent guitarist ie; R. Rhoads) & great shows @ Ozzfest throughout the years.
Most memorable: when Sharon got upset and unplugged Iron Maiden- right in the middle of their set! Summer Ozzfest 2005, San Bernardino CA.

I'm pretty sure I saw their 'final tour' in '99.

Not too many bands, I'm told, make it down to Aus/NZ, glad to hear they are making the trip.
Diary of a Madman tour 82 American Rock Festival 84
But in all honesty, without Bill Ward, I wouldn't go.

Just to clarify.... Randy Rhoads was never a part of Black Sabbath; he was Ozzy's guitarist when he started his solo career post-Sabbath. And Diary of a Madman was an Ozzy album and tour. Nothing to do with Sabbath.

@Wc626. Maiden getting unplugged memorable? More like disrespectful and disgraceful. If I'm not mistaken Maiden did that concert as a favour to Ozzy and anyway the fans had come to see Maiden not the antics of Sharon with her street kids. I wouldn't mind seeing Sabbath if they come to Japan. I regret not seeing Heaven and Hell when they came here a few years back. Anyway, today I'm going to relax and listen to "The Book of Souls."

Too bad Tony & Geezer aren't making the trip with Ozzie this fall!!!

Roosterman77, I concur on all accounts.

They wont be coming to Japan and in any case my pay packet aint fat enough to see them even if the did.

The 3rd album I ever bought - Black Sabbath - still have it in my boxed up stuff back yonder. Plays with lots of crackles, esp War Pigs jumps all over.
Never dates.
