The Blue Man Group held a special show at their Invoice Theater near Roppongi station on Monday to celebrate one year of performing in Tokyo, and involved local “talent” Aki Hoshino, 31, and comedian Yoshio Kojima, 28, in their show.
The American trio, who paint themselves blue and don’t talk, excited the crowd with their comical movements, playing original instruments made from drums and pipes and catching marshmallows in their mouths.
During the show, the Blue Men threw three marshmallows at Kojima but he failed to catch one of them in his mouth, and then burst out with his “sonna no kankei nai” routine.
Hoshino was brought on stage and while not really sure of what was happening, wound up being made to eat banana cake with the Blue Men, which drew laughter from the crowd.

I wonder if their Tokyo show is any different from their Vegas show. I saw their show last year, and before that I saw their show in 2001, and they were practically the same thing. I mean, they were cool at first but it's time to try something different. I can't justify spending 70, 80 dollars plus for a show that is the same year in, year out.

rjd_jr, And yet Kojima and 'Gu' Edo do the exact same thing on TV day in and day out for years and become 'famous.' I wonder what the Blue Man Group's reaction to underwear-clad Kojima's 'talent' was.

Reading about Kojima just makes me cringe. He's like watching a train wreck.

I would have gone to see this if Aki Hoshino dressed like Kojima.
