Britney Hamada, who goes under the title of "homeless comic artist," made her first foray into the modeling world recently with the fruits of her labor appearing in a double page spread in weekly tabloid Flash’s Aug 25 issue.
Hamada, whose real name is unknown and claims she is 20 years old, has appeared in numerous variety shows this year and spoken about her lifestyle of living in Internet cafes and surviving on potato chips and hamburgers.
Originally from Chiba, Hamada used to commute more than four hours to her hairdressing school, and started to return home less and less because of the distance. She has said that she sleeps in Internet cafes and karaoke boxes, goes to a tanning salon three times a week - where she can shower - and washes her clothes at a friend’s house.
After graduating from the hairdressing school, she found herself drawn to the world of illustration, and decided to pursue a career in drawing. More recently, she approached Flash and offered to pose for them, appearing in several shots including a double page spread. One of the shots features Hamada in a jungle-like scene, with leaves covering her bust, and her indispensable pink suitcase is in tow. Two other shots see Hamada in one-piece lingerie as she models her 85-65-85 figure.
“I felt a bit awkward at first, but I got comfortable and in the end felt like Mariah Carey,” she said.

"and in the end felt like Mariah Carey,” -- except without an ounce of talent. Which, of course, makes her the perfect "talento". What a country.

Sounds like a real genius.
OssanAmerica
Sounds like a pretty stupid entertainer. But to riducule the country for it? I'm glad people don't judge the United States on the Pet Rock.

Being a "homeless comic artist" seems like a great way to get noticed for about 12 months, then, like that "hard gay" character, she'll likely become overexposed and become less marketable as a talento. It's a silly, gimmicky character-based shtick similar to Borat. The important thing is to do it like Sacha Baron Cohen and reinvent yourself after the character become old.

I love this photo of Britney dragging her bag through the jungle in that outfit!

Just saw her in Okinawa a few days ago at Blue Seal getting ice cream, she sure don't need any more fatty foods, that's for sure. ...and for someone who is supposedly "homeless", sure had a good vacation in Okinawa at the ANA Zanpa Resort in Ona.

That is not a jungle -it's part of the 4hr trek just to the nearest Internet cafe (Oasis). -But at least that way she can burn off the Ebi-burger and chips calories.

I'm surprised that "Flash" agreed to do the photo spread. With a waist of 65cm and looking at the photo. I'd say she is carrying a few extra kgs!!!
Mittsu
Nice measurements, not too skinny. She'll go a long way.
shayouzoku
I predict she'll sign a contract with Soft on Demand within a year.

OssanAmerica -- I think you have been in J-land too long. Your ability to connect the dots, as well as draw meanignful analogies has really declined. First off, the second comment in my post was a generalization about all talento here, not just this gal. So, obviously, the "what a country" comment was based on that entire universe, not simply "Britney". But, if you don't think the average talento here speaks ill about the overall intellectual capacity/wit level of this country, then please tell me where I'm wrong. Also, your analogy about the pet rock would be on target if we were talking here about an inatimate object, like Hello Kitty. In this case, since we are discussing a living, breathing person, it lacks relevance.

pretty sure the pet rock has britney beat in the brains department

Why do these people become famous here?? Back home you have to have at least been in a movie or something to get exposure for lack of talent. It seems that Japanese people are entertained by anything these days. I have no idea how people can watch and read such crap.
tmarie
I should also add that reality shows home are crap as well but I honestly dare someone to find worse TV programs than Japan.
Altria
Get ya gear off, love!

i give it another month, tops

You can google her name to find her personal website. She has a much better pic there that at least shows nothing at all wrong between the neck and the waist anyway :-) Yeah I think this wont last long and I see more nakedness to come and a pretty short shelf life as well.

She has been sucked into the world of tarento, and I say she should milk it for all she can get from it. She is a successful manga artist, has been since 2006. Between doing the goofy tarento stuff, she draws her comics.
usaexpat
Well hopefully she'll make some money so she can quit living in internet cafes.
Pukey2
Oh lord. Come back Spears, all is forgiven.
terebiko
I don't know if she wants to quit living in internet cafes....
nath
will someone catch her and scrub her for a few days? she always looks dirty!!
thepro
If she's 20 years old, then I'm Obama
fukuyama

Good point herefornow. The "talento" here, are like the one-hit wonders all over the world. The fact that she picked a name "Britney" mimicking another one-hit wonder "Britney Spears", makes you wonder what is she really aspiring to be. Take note, the Britney Hamadas, Borats, Vanilla Ices, and Hard Gays of the world; don't stick to one gimmick.
