A very sad end to a long career. I remember him in “Moonlighting” back in the 80’s with Cybill Shepherd (who was gorgeous back then) a funny rapid fire comedy reminiscent of some old pre war Hollywood comedies.

I always like Bruce Willis. A class act in my book.

Aphasia, which can cause varying degrees of impairment in speech or understanding language, currently affects more than 2 million Americans, the National Aphasia Association estimates.

Aphasia affects 2 million Americans but I believe most have never heard of it before Bruce Willis's diagnosis.

What causes aphasia and more directly, why did Bruce get it?

What's really a downer is how sharp and quick witted he was esp. during the Moonlighting TV show to be struck down by this disease.

Does this illness have anything to do with the horrible movies he's been in since the pandemic began? Got to see "Cosmic Sin" to grasp the magnitude.

Red Letter Media nailed what was going on with him in one of their videos last month before these announcements.

Such a shame too as he's not that old. I wish him well.

Head trauma, stroke, tumor are the top 3 suspected and known causes.

I know 2 people, one was my aunt the aphasia was the first sign something was wrong.

Later medical examinations revealed that at one point she had suffered very tiny strokes that went unnoticed and undiagnosed.

The other was a friend that played hockey (ice the only real one) professionally for a short period, over the years he suffered multiple head traumas.

Good to see the organisers of The Razzies drop the category from their programme.

No matter what the quality of the movies have been like in the last couple of years, he is still one of the all-time greats for me and I wish him and his family & friends all the best for the uncertain future they face.

His portrayal of Frank Hartigan is the benchmark for any and all neo-noir characters. Hang in there Bruce. We love ya.
