They are a great group of fine young men. Best of luck to them. I'm wondering if some of them will do their military service.

Much ado about nothing.

I am curious what % of music groups that break up/take a hiatus to go solo end up matching the success or exceeding that of their original group. I can only think of a handful.

Snap is still around sometimes. Rolling Stones too.

as it is all over Japanese TV I thought it was a Japanese group.

Let's not be jealous, guys! Their devoted fans made them bigger than they thought.

If your favourite artist/band didn't become so popular like them, then either you are not that devoted or not enough fans to make them popular.

0ut of 7,

1 will go to military next year,

3 will release Hiphop album,

2 will release pop album,

1 will become an actor

No rock albums, sorry guys!

Where all members enjoy more respective individual success than they did together as a unit?

For example?

I can’t think of any!

The real problem is these guys worked their butts off and saw very little of the profits unlike American and European artist. This is why their label had no COMMENT because their contract is up. These guys made billions for their management company and all they got or received was rent paid and a salary with other benefits. BTS's label enjoyed a surge in profits despite holding fewer concerts during the pandemic. What is going on in the background to get this entanglement out is contract negotiation. As one member said they have not had time to grow which meant they have learned alot about the industry traveling out side of korea and seeing how other artist get paid millions and live on their own and not have to share apartments. All the fans see is the artist but they don't understand the business side and this is what it has come down to. If BTS starts getting paid like artist in the US and Europe that will change K-pop for ever and the management companies in Korea does not want this to happen because there goes there survival. They fear they will no longer have control over the artist career and their purses. Its business and now these guys said they need time to mature meaning they saw the business side and its time for them to make their own money and that is doing separate projects and come back at a later date and do a reunion tour which will gross more money for them and the management company.

Overused and abused. Severe burnout at a young age.
