Could someone please tell me what what great about her performance in Gravity? Was that she did the best she could with a lame script, a boring plot and dull action?

@warispeace - wow! hate much? Every one is entitlied to their opinion but you just must have been in a bad mood when you saw that movie or you LOVE hating things that are popular. Gravity is one of the highest rated movies of this year... of the last FIVE years. IMDB: 8.3 (and that is REALLY high for IMDB) Rotten Tomatoes: 97% (that is REALLY high for rotten tomatoes) and they have a user score of 85% Metacritic: 96% (agian REALLY high for the site too). bascily the entire world REALLY enjoyed this movie. I mean... What about Star Trek into Darkness. That movie had so much wrong with it, so many holes, lens flare, a plot just didnt make sense and could have been solved about 3 differnt times in a matter of seconds, but it was still a FUN movie. neil degrasse tyson ripped about 15 major holes in Gravity, tearing that movie to peices. In the end, he said he still really enjoyed it and it was a good movie.

You would have an easier time arguing about the color of the sky than you would arguring that this movie was "bad"

Anyway. I just wanted to post that I think its pretty amazing Bullock won a Razzie for worst actress, now she wins all these awards. More to come I am sure.

Alfonso Cuarón (the writer and director) is one of the most talented film makers alive. If you can not see what he adds to film making then you need to take a second look. Just read ONE of the hundred or so articles about the making of gravity and you will realize that he created technology and techniques never even before attempted that will not be used in film making for years to come.

There's two minutes I'll never get back. I do like Sandra.

As far as Sandra Bullock goes I really enjoyed her movie "28 Days"...that hit close to home.

That's good recognition. I still can't believe how great Gravity was, it's one of those movies I could watch any time again and again.

Sandra is great !

I only really liked her in "Speed"... anything else, nah.

@inakaRob

Maybe your standards have just been lowered by all the previous crap coming out of Hollywood.

This spoof reveals clearly how bad the movie was. Just because it's popular doesn't mean it has quality. Fast-food restaurants are popular.

Thanks "Zichi"

Now we know why its not a great movie, only the actors made it a good movie.

Right, warandpeace, so you were not wishing you were anywhere else while watching the frightening parts (most of it) of this movie? This was one effective movie, brilliantly done.

I second that. I have not seen Gravity, but I saw the trailer. I am not an astrophysicist, but my brain was screaming "No, no NO!" I understand that movies are not reality, and I can accept some extra-reality, but there are limits. There is a point where it all just passes into utter silliness, and that is Hollywood lately. Expensive yet cheap thrills. And getting even 6th grade science wrong.

At least it was not another war movie though.

I do like Sandra Bullock however. Unlike so many in the industry, she usually seems believable.
