I doubt it amid the staff in my office.

Did Avatar wow the first time? Not in my case, at least.

May I ask how you've watched it? I've seen it in the best IMAX 3D cinema in the world, and the exerience has been unforgettable so far. If on the other hand you've watched it on a torrented video taken with a shaky cellphone it's going to be very different.

One more film to add to the franchise.

The first one was pure gimmick trash.
If he equals or doubles the amount he did from the first one, claps all around. Good for him.
But I don't see how people that saw the first one would be excited to see this one.
It was a long time ago though, so who knows?

All hype about CGI that we’ve all seen before. The first one didn’t even interest me.

I was extremely underwhelmed w. the first one. You could have the most incredible CG, but without a good story or captivating personalities in a movie, it ain't "good."

I am a fan of the first one. That said, from the clips that I have seen of the second one, while it will be a financial success, it is not as satisfying as the first.
Fighto!
It was a pretty boring movie the first time around. Couldn't get through it. As others have said, it wasn't about any storyline, but the CG and special FX.

Yeah, nah bay. Cameron will know that means ;)

Fighto,
If you didn't think the first movie have a story line, either you didn't see the movie or you didn't understand what the movie was about.

First one was basically CGI Dancing with Wolves, so no, hard pass.

He's going for the rated-G family films for general audiences which means a dumbed-down script and narrative. Aside from the CGI and action, the first one was banal as you can get but made millions. I'll probably pass unless my son wants me to watch it with him. His strength has always been amped-up, sci-fi action and I hope he returns to that genre. In the meantime we still have T1, T2, Aliens, Abyss, and True Lies.

First one was all about the CGI, story was Pocahontas, Dances with Wolves, etc. It was alright, nothing amazing really.
